In all fairness, I think pharmacies are suffering from short staffing because everywhere. This pharmacy gets the job done. Recently, an assistant named Fahad assisted me, and his willingness to help and explain made a difficult situation so much better. Walgreens needs to hire more staff like Fahad!! Thank you.

I usually avoid Walgreens near my home due to terrible customer service but I received excellent customer service at this location. We were visiting NYC when my husband needed medication filled. The prescriptions were called in overnight, I came in very soon after they opened expecting to wait a long time and was surprised when it was ready in 10 minutes. It is annoying that so many random items are locked up but an employee responded quickly to get things out of the locked cabinets for us. The front end cashiers was also very nice.

Britney G that works here has the WORST fucking attitude there is.... She was kicking people out the store, talking to customers rudely and as a visitor that left a horrible taste in my mouth. Definitely won't be back & recommend to go somewhere else.

I wish i could give no stars. The pharmacist is so obnoxious- I feel bad for her bc she's clearly trying to make up for some sort of complex for the fact that she's not a real doctor (but she thinks she is). She wont give people their medications that are prescribed by a literal doctor if it's a single day early and it's Friday (even though they're closed Saturday and Sunday). Why don't you go to med school before telling people when they can take their medications that have been sent in by a real doctor?

Don't go here unless you're desperate. Why shop here and pay over price items and get subpar and extremely rude customer service, if you could order online if the timing is right.

I have a medical procedure coming up and I came here just to get some prep necessities. Duane Reade should have self check out rather than useless cashiers who will literally not do anything except bark. I was buying many bottles and other medical items which fit perfectly in my large canvas Trader Joe's bags. The cashier Barks order from the moment of put the items close to her then push it back to me for me to pack it. Then she's barking orders of how I need to remove everything from the cart even though I am doing it. Then she barks orders about the credit card even the credit card is already in the machine while I'm packing. Then she barks orders that I'm not fast enough. Sorry but I am packing my large items plus dealing with the card.

I think this whole bring your bag has given an excuse for cashiers not to do their jobs. I know they are on their feet And I pity the senior citizen or a Mobile challenged person who comes here and can't pack on the fast speed with a rude person up at the register.

Great drugstore (essentially Walgreens) that's open 24/7!!! They also carry anything and everything you may be looking for- from essential food items (bread, chips, frozen meals, fruit), to stationary (cards, pens, post its), to DIY materials (hammer, nails, screws), to alcohol, to drugs at the pharmacy. They are dog friendly as well!!!

Do take note that true pharmacy closes at 6 pm on the weekdays, and is closed on both Saturdays and Sundays (very inconvenient). A couple other downsides of this DR is you WILL pay the price for it being convenient (items are heavily marked up). I have noticed several items are cheaper if you buy them online and request to pick them up (which is perfect because right when you walk in, they'll be bagged at the cash register). You'll also pay extra for both bags and bottle fees. There seem to be several homeless inside (and outside) the store at all times as well. Overall, one of my favorite drugstores since 1. It's located right before my building 2. They ALWAYS have had anything I've needed.

So little is available for sale here (or it's under lock and key to prevent theft) that it seems Soviet or post apocalyptic. I wonder why they even bother to have a store? It's no wonder people will use Amazon if they have to wait 10 min for a clerk to unlock a deodorant (or whatever) to buy,

What this drug stores open 24 hours a day. It's usually stocked with the things that I'm looking for. There have been occasions where their freezer section didn't work and so they didn't carry refrigerated items. But that has since been fixed.

My only complaint about this location would have to be the pharmacy. I had a tooth extraction with the bone extraction and stitches.

My dentist called to my subscription in. I recieved a text message from the pharmacy asking if I wanted to be notified when my medication was ready. I responded Yes however I never received any notification that my medication was ready. So I essentially spent one week with no pain medication or antibiotics until I got a phone call from the pharmacy asking me if I was interested in picking up my medication. Obviously I won't be picking up this medication because I no longer needed. However I sure wish their automated communication method worked so that I could have better managed receiving my pain medication as well as managing my pain.

I never received another alert to notify me that my Rx was ready.

This Duane Reade is right next to my building and it's the biggest life saver ever. I have never not been able to find anything that I needed. It has everything from alcohol to candy to random household items to a CHASE ATM. Seriously you couldn't ask for more.

My only tiny gripe is that the line can sometimes be quite long but it always moves along fairly quickly!
