      When was the last time ur repairman not only arrives within the agreed time, but shows up early. Has the necessary equipment and knows how to isolate the problem and proceeds to correct it effectively. Also trouble shoots for potential problems and advise you accordingly. This husband and wife team works seamlessly together......such was my experience.

      We have used Mr. Kim for large appliance repairs several times in the past. We love using small independently owned businesses whenever possible.
      He arrived when he said he would, worked efficiently and cleanly, and charged a fair price for his services.
      Moreover, he has saved me a lot of money by troubleshooting the issue over the phone, saving an expensive service call.

      This business deserves a negative star, one star is giving this business too much credit. My encounter was very unpleasant. The lady was very unprofessional, rude, aggressive, demanding. I don't see why she & the guy act as if they're no more appliances companies, you supposed to be helping people with their appliances problems not creating additional problems and stress. I get it that is hard out here, but won't it be easier and less stressful if we just could have work together.

      Called Mr. Kim for a stove repair. He was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. He was pleasant and business-like. He worked efficiently, identified the problem part, explained clearly what the problem was, and replaced it, in less than an hour. The price was quite reasonable. He left everything in order. We had used him some years ago for a refrigerator problem, but decided to get a second opinion due to the cost and some skepticism about his diagnosis. He proved to be exactly right the last time, which is why we called him this time. He knows what he is doing, and he does it efficiently. Will definitely call him again for appliance repairs (though we hope we don't have to).

      I think his name is Don. He came highly recommended by two independent people. I checked his reviews and there were some complaints about charges with a one star but I decided to take a chance.
      He was prompt, spent 10 minutes and said he wasn't experienced on my refrigerator. I fully expected to pay but he wouldn't let me pay him and sent me to the business that could. Really six star service

      Mr. Kim did a fantastic job fixing our aging washer that had sprouted a leak in one of its tubes. I called him late Monday, and he was here Tuesday morning right on time to diagnose the problem. He came back an hour later with a factory certified part that stopped the leak! His rate was very reasonable. I highly recommend calling Mr. Kim when you encounter issues with your appliances - I know we will!

      I'm honestly shocked at the way Mr. Kim spoke with me. I called yesterday and spoke with a nice lady who told me he'd come out and take a look and I let her know I'm a renter working with my landlord's budget and can't afford a diagnostic fee if work isn't done. I asked if there was a fee to come out and she said, "no we can take care of it."

      He came out to take a look at my refrigerator and kindly said there's no use fixing it because it would be over the allotted budget and then asked for $120 for the 15 minutes he was here. Confused, I nicely told him what the lady on the phone had said to me and asked him if he could work something out because I am using my landlord's budget but don't want to not pay if it was his understanding he'd get a fee and the lady misspoke. I was absolutely kind in my tone but he immediately became extremely rude and snapped "then just don't pay." I offered to write a smaller check for the misunderstanding which I would take out of my own money because I didn't want to devalue his work and had spoke with someone else who may have been misinformed.

      He told me, "do you think I have to beg for $50" and scoffed at me. I told him I wasn't trying to be rude and just wrote the $120 check out of guilt despite it not being my fault and him not fixing anything. I've never in my life had anyone come at me like that over a misunderstanding. I hope others have a better experience but this was truly wild.

      Excellent communication, good prices, and good communication. He is a master at his craft, with 40 years of experience. It seems he is a one man shop so you won't get some rookie technician that will fumble around and not know what is going on. Yes, the fee is $95 to come out but in many cases the fix is relatively quick making the total price competitive or better than many of the other 5 star rated reviews on yelp. He does not overcharge for parts (e.g., he will not charge over $100 for a $4.55 part, see next paragraph).

      To give you an example, I had actually called one of the higher ranked 5 star rated appliance repair companies based in Oakland and they wanted a $59 service charge applicable to labor and materials, sent out a newbie technician, and for labor they wanted $200 and the part $120 (PM me if you want to know who they were)--I thought the price was too high so paid the $59 "diagnosis fee". Mr. Kim charged $175 total for this exact repair, that's $145 less.

      Also, that recent one star review complaining about the service charge and labor charge is not fair in my opinion because that is disclosed very clearly up front and if you don't like it you don't have to accept.

      But if you want a master technician that knows what he is doing, won't overcharge you on labor and materials, and gets the job done right I would highly recommend him. I am a landlord and will definitely use him again in the future.

      I was very happy that Mr. Kim made it out the same day. He very quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part,installed the next day. He was very Covid-19 conscious, kept the door to the laundry room open and wore a mask.
      I found him to be competitive in his pricing. I saw some reviews that said he was too high priced. But we are in the Bay Area and Mr. Kim is a skilled tradesman. I know I am having him back because he's coming tomorrow to install an ice maker!
