A flawless experience! Mark was just incredible - quick to respond, arrived right on time, diagnosed and fixed our fridge on the spot. In addition, he was very polite, clean, organized ..... I could go on, you get the picture.

Update Jan 12, 2024. Congratulate yourself for reading this unsolicited, unpaid review. Metro is a terrific find in San Francisco. I've dealt with them for 9+ years and am still getting the same great service every time. They tell me the smart way to solve a problem instead of the most expensive way. Many times they'll explain how I can fix it myself to save time and money. Call them first call when you want a smart, quick, and honest solution. And trust what they tell you. They are awesome.

Mark is about as honest as they come. He's reliable, prompt, and efficient. Several times, he's advised me not to spend the money to fix something until its really broken. Can't recommend him highly enough.

When my husband complained that his beer was not cold enough that's when I found out our GE refrigerator was not working. So I bought a Yelp deal and called Mark the following Monday. Mark picked up the phone right away, was willing to work around my schedule and gave me a service appointment for later that day. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, pulled out a price book and showed me the price for the fan motor part needed to repair my refrigerator which was over $300, not cheap for an old refrigerator. However, with the Yelp deal , the returned customer discount, and that Mark had the part in his truck, he was able to fix the refrigerator quickly and for a very reasonable price.

Mark is honest, professional, friendly, and very pleasant to work with. He is on my speed dial if I need to have my appliances repaired in the future.

Now that the beer is cold not only my husband is happy, I am a happy too! Thanks Mark! You saved my day again!!!

My rental unit has a 10-year old refrigerator and the freezer was not defrosting thus causing the vents to be blocked and the refrigerator unable to get cold. After discussing this issue with the property manager, he preferred it get repaired instead of replaced. After reading their reviews on Yelp, I settled on contacting Metro Appliance Repair.

Mark arrived on the time agreed and even confirmed the appointment hours before. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty defroster and replaced the part in about a hour. He even elevated the front end of the refrigerator a few inches so that the door would close on its own.

Two months later, the refrigerator is still working great!

I was debating about buying a new fridge or repairing an old one and found these guys. After a brief call with Mark, he offered to come check it out in person and showed up 20 minutes later. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and most importantly honest, even when it meant less money for him.
Will definitely use these guys again if I have ANY appliance issues. 5 stars!!!

Does this thing have 10 stars? Seriously. He fixed the machine the first time. During that we discussed another item I needed for it, but he didn't have it in stock. Well, a few days later, I show up at the business and find that he actually came back while my employees were there and replaced the piece that I simply asked him about.

There are just so few people like this left, it seems.

The washer at my business broke. Give my business is a floatation center (floatmatrix.com) and I have people shower before and after each float, we go through a lot of laundry so this is bad. Not to mention, 1 day until a fully booked weekend. I was stressing to say the least. Now we specialize in stress reduction, so this is saying a lot.

Mark returned my call within 15 minutes and said he was able to be here in 30. He arrived, inspected the washer, discovered the issue, and even had the item on hand. He had my washer fixed from first call to last double check within about 3 hours. I still haven't got a call back from the other places I called.

I can't say it was cheap, but fixing appliances rarely is. It was fair.

Cant speak highly enough about the professionalism and efficiency. Glad to have them around.

I left the company a message on Sunday night and Mark returned my call within the hour and was able to come the next day. He arrived within the first half hour of the 2-hour window provided. He was very professional, courteous, explained the issue with our oven clearly and fixed it within 30 minutes. He will definitely be our go-to guy for any appliance repairs in the future.

I wish every service was as good and honest as Mark's.

Mark assessed the problem and gave me an honest diagnosis. He went beyond what was required of him, spent a lot of time working on my Bosch dryer. I needed a temporary repair instead of a replacement. Mark went out of his way to try different things. When it looked like it was going to take even more time to fix and more $ for parts, he let me know about the cost and I was able to make the choice to stop. He didn't even charge me for the few hours he spent trying to fix it. I really appreciated his honesty and generosity with his time.

What a godsend ... Metro Appliance not only works on Saturdays, but returns phone calls, and promptly sends someone out. Fabulous service!

Much to my embarrassment, the alarming 'noise' in the fridge turned out not to be related to the fridge at all ... nonetheless, Mark disabled the noise for us, charged us for a very reasonable service call, and gave us tips about the maintaining the fridge.

Such a pleasure to deal with! This will be our go-to appliance repair stop.

I came home to a fridge full of melted ice cream and warm beers... Mark came late in the day Friday a half hour after I called, just like he said he would. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Right away he diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator and we came to a very agreeable price to fix it. He made everything way easy and the refrigerator runs superbly now.

I can't tell you how great it is to know we have such a stellar appliance repair place right here in the area. They're local, can fix any brand name refridgerator like my old general electric, and make last minute house calls when no one else will. Can't thank these guys enough for saving me a bunch of money on not having to buy brand new equipment.
