We are so happy that the dining room has reopened.
      I don't think we've been here since 2019.

Visited here this morning for brunch.
Same good service and fun vibe, interesting menu, good food.

      Chilaquiles for the wife.

Fried chicken silog and longanisa lumpia for me.

      Fresh squeezed OJ.

It'It's a cute place, and the parking is adequate. The food is average, and the steak fries I ordered were under-seasoned. However, my son ordered waffles and said they were delicious, and the batter was nice and fluffy. The service seemed a bit slow, probably because only one server was trying to manage everything. Maybe this is more of a place to order your food and eat at home. My son had to get up a few times to ask for more syrup or anything else we needed. I'm interested in how they are redoing the patio - it seems like a nice enclosed space with flowers, so that seems to be nice..

Small breakfast spot that replaced the old Foster Freeze. Cute inside. Food was decent-good, small menu, kinda pricey, but the food took super long just for the two dishes despite there being only 2 other tables at the time and like 3 people working the kitchen. Waitress was nice when we did have interaction, but not super attentive. We didn't even see her to flag her down for more water. They have a parking lot and you can also park in the Neptune Plaza and walk around. I probably would not come back, but I don't regret trying it out.

It is Jan 2024 and Neptune is open for dine in Monday-Friday 8:30-2:30pm. It is takeout only at the window on the weekends, which is so sad since weekends are the ultimate brunch time for peeps.

Neptune's ambiance and service has always been nice. Each of the employees we've encountered have been very pleasant each time we go there, whether it be dine in or at the take out window. Neptunes has our favorite coffee on the island! They also have Filipino fusion classics that we feeds our cravings such as Longanisa Silog and Fried Chicken Silog.

The prices are a bit up there, which I can expect in the Bay Area so it's nothing too surprising.

Today, I was introduced to Chorizo Tots which were SO EFFING DELICIOUS and filling. I absolutely loved the different toppings on it and the fact that the tots were very crispy. They were a great recommendation by our server, and I look forward to getting them again.

Some things Im sad about: not open for dine in on the weekends, and they don't have fountain drinks with complimentary refills (I go through soda FAST when I'm eating something salty. Let a girl get her Sprite!!!)

Bottom line: I'll see them again for dine in soon

Good place to grab decent food in sleepy Alameda. Friendly staff and recently reopened their inside dining.

Usually the cute coffee shops do not offer big portions of food but Neptune's did not disappoint! Our breakfast was delicious and quickly made. If you are in the area, you have to try their mocha!

Very disappointing that Neptune's never reopened for sit-down dining, only take-out. What a total waste of a great space. This place was super popular on the weekends as a brunch destination, and a much-needed addition to Alameda's West End business district.
Despite ongoing pleas from many loyal customers over the past three years, they have not brought back sit-down dining, and have been unresponsive to inquiries as to if/when they plan to fully reopen. At least let people know what to expect.
Now they only operate through a take-out window. No thanks, I can cook at home; I go out for the experience, not just for the food.
If they ever decide to fully reopen, I will update this review.

Cute place. The food was incredibly delicious but there was literally one waiter?? when I went, so service was a little slow. Wish they would open dine in on the weekends but maybe it's due to lack of staff.

EHRMAHGAWSH... the restaurant is open again. Woot! It's our family's favorite breakfast/lunch spot. I (somewhat embarrassingly) went 3 days in a row when they opened back up. The food is so yummy. Our favorites are the fried chicken silog, chilaquiles with red sauce, burger, and the açaí bowl. Also the Spaniard, latte with a touch of sweetened condensed milk. Yum. Also, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Love the Longanisa silog. Wonderful restaurant made Longanisa (which i wish was available in a breakfast sandwich), rice egg & pickled vegetables. Together they are a great brunch. The avocado toast, the burger and my kid loves the carne asada fries.

They just did a soft open of dine in service and the service is friendly and everyone inside looks happy.

Closed at least until January 28. This restaurant is taking the exemplary step of making sure it's staff is healthy.
