James, came by and identified the issue correctly. His recommendation to replace just part of the duct that had collapsed and replace just the fusible links on dampers was right on. ( I had a quote from another company that wanted to replace not only all the ducting but all the dampers! Made no sense to me since it was all in working condition.) He came with his crew and did a nice clean job on time. I also liked that he had a formal quote that he brought before he started the job. 5 stars! Thank you!

Got a quote from one of the big HVAC firms to install heat pump HVAC in my condo in SF. After the sticker shock I shopped around and found James on Yelp. He was super friendly, expedient and his estimate was not only HALF of what the big firms charge, he came in under budget! Work was done in a timely manner (also in half time of the bigger shop), and his crew is super friendly, helpful and knows their stuff. Six stars! Highly recommended.

Needed a couple of wall heaters replaced in 2 units. James quoted and sent me an estimate (labor and parts) within 24 hours of my inquiry. His quote turned out to be lower than the going rate for the units I wanted. He was flexible on the installation date. The tenants who received the new heaters were satisfied and taught how to operate the units.

I initially messaged them for a repair visit for my old furnace. James got back to me within a couple of hours to say that he does not usually do repairs. But he then called me back again, and recommended a DIFFERENT company. He told me to mention his name, which got me a technician to come out on the SAME DAY.

When I decided that it is time for a new furnace, this was one of the companies I called. Ocean's quote was within the range of everyone else (a little cheaper in fact). He was able to schedule the installation within a week. We communicated with photos of my place over the phone. He came out at the end of the work day to do a brief inspection. The work was done on time. James also arranged for the city's inspection based on my schedule. If I had chosen my initial first choice based on the number/rating on Yelp, I would still be waiting.

I recently moved into a 1960s house with asbestos duct work and an original furnace that had broken down. As SF started getting colder, I started getting quotes to replace everything.

I found James through Yelp, but after talking with my coworkers, found some coworkers that coincidentally had used him to do the same project several years ago! His quote was cheaper than several other companies I talked with and included a Carrier 95% efficiency furnace, which seems worth it for the value over time.

James and his crew were very knowledgable and practical about their work. The old furnace was in a terrible position in the middle of the basement and I would hit my head on several of the pipes, because they were placed low over doorways. James suggested moving the furnace under the stairs and placed the pipes much higher and in a better layout. The project took about 4 days: 1 day for asbestos guys to remove my old ducts, about 3 days for his crew to finish everything, including a side project to add a new vent for my dryer. I also purchased a Nest separately, that they hooked up with no problem.

The system has been keeping me warm for the last 2 weeks and city inspection was today, with no problems. I'm very happy with the quality and value of work. If only all projects were this easy...

They removed all the asbestos, old ducts and furnace and then installed a shiny new heating system. Work was done neatly and passed inspection without a problem.

As an added bonus James is also a super friendly dude and a dog lover. He was so kind to my recently rescued dog.

We hired James and his crew to replace our monstrocity of a furnace and create a 2 zone system in my in-law in the outer-sunset. 1st off - James is exceedingly professional and is very fast with follow-ups with questions / concerns. His approach is highly consultative and goes the extra mile. In a commodity market - look to the service and approach and you won't find better than James. Where others would take days to respond, he's on it in minutes. His quote also saved us money because he recommended what we really needed, not what other companies wanted to up-sell. Highly recommend his services in San Francisco (Especially the outer sunset!).

Our old 75-year-old furnace needed to be replaced. After researching HVAC contractors, I asked Ocean Air and a local, well-reviewed HVAC company to bid on the job. James from Ocean Air came out the next day. The local company took a few days longer. Both contractors were knowledgeable but 2 reasons made us go with James: his quote was lower and he seemed more invested in the job. I look for contractors who take pride in their work, and this is what I saw with James.

Both contractors estimated the job would take 2 and a half days, which is what it turned out to be. Ocean Air cut new vent holes, installed all new duct work, installed a light and plug to meet code, and suspended a new Carrier 2-speed furnace in our crawl space.

At inspection, I overheard our City Inspectors compliment them on the job: "Wow, you did all that? Beautiful work. I'd hire you." We are so pleased with the results: they pulled permits, dismantled the old furnace and had it picked up by a metal recycler, the new heater works great and is completely silent, they waited for the city inspectors, and the guys left our crawl space looking immaculate.

I'm very confident in giving James, Claudio and the rest of his crew 5 stars. They take pride in their work (and it shows), they offer very competitive pricing, and were very considerate and respectful in my home.

James was prompt and professional when requested to provide a quote for my elderly neighbor. Although she chose a different company, James should not be overlooked for your hvac needs. He was informative, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with

I can't say enough good things about James and his team. Our furnace went out during a cold spell. He came over and gave us a quote for a new high-efficiency unit, and provided several different options to meet our budget. He was able to actually get the new unit installed on a Saturday---which we definitely appreciated as the little space heater we'd been using was just not cutting it any longer. Overall--a great job, and highly recommended!
