Old First Parking Garage

I park here monthly.

I was choosing between the Masonic garage and this business. I decided to use this one because the service is personal and friendly. There are about 5 valets and they recognize you by face. (The Masonic also frustratingly does not prorate.)

Call 15-20 min ahead and they'll have the car ready.

Nice location and price, with good hours. My Airbnb guests love the place. Oversized vehicles rates can be slightly confusing, but size and use-based increments are understandable.

Don't eyeball me like I'm the dumb girl and then try to charge me for parking that Brownie's Hardware already validated.

After circling the block once (and it's a long circle if you empty out onto Van Ness with all the ongoing construction) I drove into Old First garage and let them know I was going into the hardware store for 20 minutes.

When I returned, I handed them my ticket ("Here you go, Brownie's validated it") and they asked me twice to point out my car.

It was only 20 feet away, I pointed to it, sitting there, idle, set aside from other cars.

Seriously, was he next going to make me match my license with the registration in my glove box?

Then he told me "It's $3" and I enunciated nastily,

"And it's val-i-dated- like I told you" [eye-roll]

Unless it's raining and I've circled twice, I'll avoid this garage; they're sketchy.

Amazing fast and courteous service is the mantra here....everybody in the garage is the best in the business the feeling of Security that your vehicle is in the best of hands. I lived in the neighborhood for five years a decade ago and when I decided to move back to SF, I checked on the garage BEFORE I looked for a place to live!
I can drop the van off and go home and sleep like a baby, secure that no one moves into my van on the street at night.

I recommend the garage wholeheartedly

If you planned on going to a later event in the evening better get your car before 10 pm because their hours online are NOT the same, went to a concert at the regency ballroom and told the guy our concert will be ending about 10 and he said "that's fine you'll be charged 20 for the 12 hours" but when we got out of the concert THEY WERE CLOSED when the guy did NOT specify that they close completely at 10 and when we went to pick up my car in the morning the guy charged us $35 do NOT park here if you need a late night parking and planned on coming back to your car.

I was heading to a restaurant for Mothers day with my daughter and since I'm not familiar with SF I opted to park in a parking garage near by the restaurant. I had no clue where the restaurant was so I asked the attendant if he knew. He wasn't sure and Google it for me. I thought that was extremely nice of him. He then explained how to find the restaurant. Upon retrieving my car, I saw the same attendant and he checked me out very fast. He was very friendly and helpful. Parking wasn't very expensive considering it's SF. I would park my car here again when in this area.

I paid for monthly service because sf likes to have break ins. On busy days it can take a few minutes for the valet service to get the car out. Some days my car was sitting right next to the exit for east departure.

DO NOT PARK IN THIS GARAGE!

An employee by the name of Alex has some SERIOUS anger issues and harassed us. He was extremely rude and raised his voice at us. That's not any way to treat someone, let alone a potential customer.

Terrible experience, do not waste your money here.

My car battery died early in the morning before this garage opened. I was parked in a spot just before the garage. I had to call a tow and it arrived shortly after the garage opened. Within 3 minutes of the tow arriving, the owners came out and yelled at the tow truck driver to move as he was blocking the entrance - this was obviously the only place he could park. They continued to harass him, so I yelled back to make it clear my battery died and we would eventually move once my car was on the truck. Do not give this company any money.

Parked my truck +Uhaul here which is an amazing feet in downtown SF the staff was friendly and protected all my valuable while my wife and I searched apartments along Polk street!
