Quality Appliance Repair

Within a few minutes of my initial phone call to Greg, he had my 10+ year old clothes dryer working again. It had stopped blowing warm air, and I was dreading having to possibly look for a new one, considering its age. Greg also took a look at my equally old clothes washer, and gave me all the needed information to order and replace a worn-out part on my own, and have it working properly again. Along with being a very nice person, Greg was very encouraging about the longevity of older appliances. Contrary to what I had heard about appliances lasting approximately 10 years, he said that older appliances will last "as long as you want them to," due to the lack of computer issues that arise with newer models. I'm very glad to recommend Greg!

Let me add to the chorus of good praise for Greg. The dryer in my house last left from the previous owner and isn't working well. I called Greg and he listened to my problem and walked me through options even though he's recovering from surgery. He offered to come out to help but first had me check a couple of things. Then he said, it'll cost for him to come out and might be a $40 part or $200 part he'll need to order, where you don't know how old it is. Might save me money to look at a new one that'll last longer instead of fixing an old dryer which might have problems again and he'll be called out again.

Totally appreciate the honesty, hard to find these days.

Washer Repair. CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

Desperate as usual when a major appliance, my washer, malfunctioning! My usual repair person was not picking up phone calls or emails. Others also non-responsive. So was not expecting much when I left a message especially since it had a not available greeting. Left a message anyway and, holy moly, Greg from Quality Appliance Repair Service (QARS) called me back within minutes!!!!!!

Greg Barca explained his current limitations but offered to come by to look at my washer. A metal wire circle had popped out and it wouldn't let me close the door for any loads.

Greg arrived within 15 minutes and was nice, personable and chock full of information that was very useful. He looked at the wire circle and popped it back into place. Checked out the machine by running a quick short load. Also looked at my dryer because of concern for a clogged dryer vent. He popped out the bottom panel and looked it over, as well as checking the flow of the outside dryer vent. Looked good!

I was grateful and appreciative that QARS was able to come out immediately and address my washer repair need. Greg knows what he's doing and explains as he goes. I do believe he delivered value for the job under the circumstances but most would argue I could have done it myself. I am far from a DIYer. If I thought I could have done it myself I would not have have felt the need to call. Hence I am happy with QARS!

Only caveat is QARS accepts Cash or Check only. This was one of the few times that I had cash on hand so, thank goodness, it all worked out! I would not hesitate to call QARS for future repairs but will make sure to have cash or check on hand.

Dryer drum stopped spinning which usually means a broken belt. Greg has helped me in the past and was my first call. He came out within the hour and replaced the belt. He took it upon himself to do some additional inspection and performed some additional maintenance steps. I'm as good as new! He even provided tips to get maximum usage out of the dryer. You can't go wrong with Quality Appliance Repair!

I had a dishwasher that was not draining even after I checked the filters/drain hose for clogs. I called Greg about repair, and before he would come out he asked me to first check for a common reason for blockage which I was not aware of, and he gave me detailed instructions. This solved the problem, and a piece of metal that had come loose from one of our knives popped out of the piping. Grateful to Greg for the advice and will definitely go to him for future needs. I see from other reviews that my experience with Greg is not unique.

Called Greg for a potential washer repair for my property in San Francisco. Left a voicemail and he called back immediately-despite the fact he had just had surgery and was recuperating. With a detailed voicemail he was able to decipher that my washer's load bearing was out and that the whole thing needed to be replaced.
Honest person that didn't waste my time or money. Will definitely contact again for any future appliance repair or diagnosis.

I never thought I would be this happy hearing my dishwasher humming along in the background.

After searching through yelp, I decided to call Quality Appliance Repair to fix my dishwasher. I left a voicemail explaining my Bosch is showing E24 alarm and is not draining. Greg promptly called me back and provided detail instructions on how to fix the issue. Problem was solved and saved me time/money!

I have been using Greg's service for several years now. He's everything you want in a service repairman: a genuinely nice guy, extremely knowledgeable in his field, reliable and communicative and he responds with a sense of responsibility and urgency. He helped me out with my washer when I was in a jam. He also gives solid recommendations when you ask for advice. He's so dependable. I'm already stressed out about the day he goes into retirement.

Greg, on his day off, just took the time to walk me through how to fix my Bosch dishwasher (with the E24 error code). Very fast call back and didn't charge me. Also, explained how not to get this issue in the future. Owners like Greg are rare in today's world, what a breath of fresh air. I will be calling back with future plumbing issues. Thanks!

Greg is the best! He is knowledgeable, responsive, reliable, sincere and honest. It is very hard to find someone like Greg today in any business. Back in 2015 we called Greg to fix our very old Kenmore washer. Once the repair was done Greg told us it will work for another 6-8 years. In 2018 we purchased made in the USA Whirlpool duet and now the washer is giving E01 F03 error codes. We immediately called Greg (after 5p) for help. He contacted us right away and helped us with all the possible issues. Per Greg we unplugged overnight and that seemed to have fixed the issue. Can't thank Greg enough to guide us through during his busy schedule. Will definitely be calling Greg for future repairs!

Greg returned my call promptly, he was able to come to my home on the same day.
You literally call him with the model number and brand of your appliance- he shows up, and your appliance is fixed. He has a pleasant demeanor, I loved that he's passionate and knowledgeable about his business. I was able to watch him service the dryer, he explained as he went along.
