      EDIT - They called me back today and tried to make things right. They offered 50% off initial service call fee and would work with me to meet after hours.
      I am changing my 1 star to 3 stars because of this. Unfortunately we don't work with companies that "stand us up." For some reason we have been "stood up" so many times by local companies and are getting pretty sick of it.
      So take this review for what it's worth. I will be honest in telling friends or requests for referrals but we won't be using this company. I have no idea if they do good work or not. We have since gotten good advice from an appliance parts shop who is helping us. We actually got our own machine up and running though it will probably need a new pump in the near future. We will attempt to fix this ourselves using YouTube videos.
      ORIGINAL REVIEW - Made appointment. Had 6 hr window so stayed home from work, during Christmas, not happy boss. They called 1 hr before close of window to cancel. I can't take another day off work. They lost me and any future work or referrals I would have sent their way. Oh, and a good yelp review. Now we've lost a whole day to find a repair person and I have to go to laundromat soon.

      Great service. Have used them several times for other appliances. Josh did everything to repair older dishwasher parts. eventually had to order new part but was fast turnaround. Very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Highly Recommend

      I contacted this company to repair a problem with my KitchenAid refrigerator. Some of the lights were out, and I understood this was a common problem in the model I had, and it required the replacement of a bulb in the freezer compartment. I am elderly and disabled and requested a technician to come and repair this. The receptionist told me that they needed a trained technician to verify the problem and schedule a repair. I like to shop locally. I wanted a better response from the receptionist. But, as I said, it's not unreasonable to have an evaluation, even though 99% of the time, it's a known problem. They sent an incompetent technician who proceeded to break a light in my refrigerator and said six lights would need replacement at a cost of hundreds of dollars. A family friend came over for dinner a few nights later and looked at my fridge. He said the technician was incompetent, and he could quickly fix the damaged light and replace the culprit light in the freezer, which he said any decent technician should have understood and taken care of during the initial visit. It was considerably less expensive, though it would have been even less if he had not needed to repair the connector and replace the damaged light. Hundreds of dollars of work was clearly unnecessary, and the problem was as I suspected. I took a photos to document the damage, asked the credit card company not to pay the charge, and submitted the evidence. They accepted my evidence and denied the payment. Recently, the business has been sending me a bill for the visit by the destructive and incompetent worker, and the company is threatening me with collection. I feel they were out to rip off an elderly disabled widow and are still trying to take advantage of me. I strongly suggest you do not use this repair service at all.

      All the folks at River City Appliance are nice and great to work with. Over the years of having appliance problems, the same technician comes to my home. Josh both competent and very friendly as he fixes things for me and explains the problem and the fix. The office staff are so good at getting Josh to my house as fast as possible. I can rely on them to be honest and take care of me, which is so so important to me.

      The scheduling was easy and helpful to our needs and time frame. She The technician that we received was very knowledgeable and helped us get our appliance back up and running with ease. He explained many things throughout the process to help us understand better also. He was very thorough and friendly. I would highly recommend these guys for service.

      Any refrigerator breakdown can't be serviced soon enough. The technician was here in less than 24 hours, did the analysis of the issue, and repaired it in an hour. I could hardly expect more.
      He had a replacement compressor and all the right tools.
      I don't often need an emergency repair, but this job was done at a fair price. What more can you ask for?
      The office staff was very courteous and professional.

      Repair of LG Dishwasher that wouldn't drain.

      We requested service through Home Warranty so we were pleasantly surprised to deal with such a great company. The communication was excellent from the office regarding scheduling and timing. Repairman was friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated well regarding the problem which was resolved with a new part. It is great to know that there is someone who can handle repairs of LG appliances and is great to deal with!

      Our LG fridge is under warranty - and yet - River City Appliance wants to charge us 150$ service charge? So, I called LG back - and they stated that there should not be a service charge. LG informed me to call River City back and give them an authorize service code. I called River City back - and the woman informed me that she didn't care about the code - it is their policy to get that 150 bucks - no matter what - they charge 150 bucks.

      Josh was the best repairman I've had in years!
      My washing machine needs a part but he was able to it draining and spinning, saving me a trip to the laundromat!
      He really knew his stuff and worked a solution,
      Greatly appreciated his efforts

      Absolutely love the service. I made a call to numerous companies and they kept giving me 2-3 month time frames. I called River City Appliance they scheduled an appt for the following Monday. The young girl on the phone was so nice and informative. She explained your price for them to come out and what to expect before and after the fix. Ryan came out that following Monday. He was very professional and a great attitude. Checked what needs to be fixed and literally within not even 45 min he was out the door. Deff keeping them on my favs to call for the future. Thank you everyone. Honestly great service.
