      We had a small reunion for 8 here. Inside was decorated nicely. There's only one unisex bathroom so there might be a wait.
      We were seated right away even though it said that we would be seated once all our party was there.
      We ordered drinks first. I got the mango Thai iced tea. It was fruity and refreshing but I didn't taste mango. It was still good.
      I had the grilled pork. The rice was interesting with fried garlic. The pork chop didn't have any bones. It was grilled nicely and came with a side of sweet sauce. We also shared some steamed dumplings. The wrapping was thin with lots of meat. They were attentive keeping our glasses filled.
      A friend traded some duck meat for some pork from her pad ew see. I was surprised at how big the pieces of duck were. They were fatty and tender.
      The food here is good if a little expensive.

      (Overall: B) - Sabai Thai is an upscale thai restaurant with innovative dishes, a few of which catch my eye. I found their price regime to be a bit higher than most, but the quality of food seems reasonable. Quite a decent option to revisit for sure.

      (Tiger Prawn Pad Thai: A) - This is a well made Pad Thai that hits all of the bold flavor notes I look forward to from this dish. I like that they elevated this dish with an omelette wrapper and showcased an entire beautiful tiger prawn that was tender and delicately fried.

      My friend and I, fresh from a color analysis (results: I'm a cool tone & winter dark girlie), found ourselves in that awkward time of day when most respectable restaurants are closed. Thankfully, Sabai Thai was there to save us from our post-analysis growling stomachs.

      * Tiger Prawn Pad Thai ($36)
      When our server recommended the Tiger Prawn Pad Thai, we nodded in agreement, unaware that we were about to embark on a Pad Thai experience like no other. The dish arrived like a culinary masterpiece - sweet, tangy, and wrapped in an omelette like a gift from the food gods. And that tiger prawn on top? Let's just say it was so big, I momentarily considered naming it. This dish is a 5/5, no questions asked.

      * Pineapple Curry With Duck ($30)
      Another gem recommended by our culinary guide (aka our server). The curry was more on the watery side, but oh, the flavor! The roasted duck was cooked to perfection, each bite more delicious than the last. My friend found it a tad spicy, but I barely noticed the heat - I was too busy savoring the deliciousness. Another solid 5/5 for me.

      * Maprow Supparod ($12)
      If tropical flavors are your thing, then the Maprow Supparod is your new best friend. This mocktail, with its blend of mango, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and lime soda, was nothing short of paradise in a glass. Sweet, refreshing, and absolutely deserving of a 5/5.

      * King Supparod ($12)
      Now, the King Supparod was where our tastes diverged. I have a soft spot for ginger candy, so this drink was right up my alley. My friend, however, was less enthusiastic, which worked out perfectly - more for me! Even when a tiny uninvited guest (read: bug) showed up in my drink, the server promptly brought me a new drink without missing a beat. Talk about service! A bug can't stop this from being a 5/5.

      In conclusion, Sabai Thai was an unexpected delight at 3 PM. The service was impeccable, the recommendations were spot-on, and the food was nothing short of stellar. I'm giving Sabai Thai a well-deserved 5/5. If you find yourself wandering around at odd hours, hungry and in need of excellent Thai cuisine, you know where to go.

      The food was OK. We ordered the Gan Panang (curry) and Crispy Garlic Shrimp, and neither of them wowed me, but perhaps I ordered the wrong things. The only thing stopping me from coming back to try again are the prices. $40pp for a few pieces of shrimp is crazy.

      Service was OK as well. My friend got her food (the curry) way faster than I did, even though it was only 5 pieces of shrimp.

      Ambiance was good thought. The restaurant was decorated nicely.

      This is a really nice restaurant. The atmosphere here is upscale chic. The seats were very comfortable.
      Staff were very fast and friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had.

      Food: The food was very good here. I've definitely been to other Thai places with more flavor but I would say the food was good here. We started with the lettuce wraps. So few thai places have tofu lettuce wraps, it was a nice surprise. The tofu was well cooked and the sauce it came with was good. I think it just lacked a little extra seasoning or spice. For my main entree, I got the Pad Kee Mao. I asked for spicy and they actually gave me spicy - love when that happens. The noddles tasted good but I just felt like it lacked a seasoning. The veggies in the noddles were well balanced which I feel has been hard to find. Most places have a ton of veggies and so few noodles.

      Prices: It felt reasonable for the portion size.

      Overall I think this is a good Thai place in the city.

      Food and cocktail was delicious! The decor inside is really pretty, service was nice. I enjoyed the lettuce wraps with tofu & the sauce along with the pineapple fried rice, very tasty! The cocktail was great, but everything was a bit pricey.

      We had a really nice meal at this upscale Thai restaurant. The space is an order of magnitude nicer than most other comparable restaurants. The service was, too. The staff were charming and checked in frequently to see how the meal was going. Cocktails were very good. The food was very good to excellent. The papaya salad was great. The chicken dumplings were very good. The Tom Kha Gai was awesome. The crispy basil duck was excellent and the beef curry was very good. I missed a couple of dishes that I have eaten elsewhere, but the menu is fine. It's a bit more expensive than average, but the setting and service justify the price.

      I'll definitely go back!

      Very nice Thai food on Park Ave. Establishment is clean, staff was very friendly. The decor was very subdued and felt upscale.

      Restaurant was very accommodating to someone in our group who had a specific food allergy. The server had actually asked us before we had the chance to tell them first about it. Very good service. It seems that most of the waitstaff try to dress in culturally appropriate attire to help elevate the authentic experience.

      Food was really good; Entree I had was the Drunken Noodles, others had the Pad Thai, another had the Pad Se Ew, and a few others. Everyone liked what they had, and we shared bites where we could. All items were very good. Appetizers that we shared were the pan-fried dumplings (excellent), chicken satay, and a shrimp dish.

      I feel like Sabai Thai is worth giving a try if you are in the area and looking for a nice Thai experience. Hope you get to enjoy it. Good luck.

      Adorned with a modern interior and high ceilings, Sabai Thai's initial impression promises elevated Thai cuisine in an upscale atmosphere.

      To my disappointment, the food fell way short of expectations. The Khao Pad Kra Pow was plain bad and one of the worst I've had. The chicken was bland, the rice was hard, and the egg was overcooked. We also ordered the pineapple duck curry which turned out average. The curry lacked flavor and the duck was generic and unflavored as well.

      We were originally going to finish with the mango sticky rice which looked amazing in the pictures but decided otherwise based on the dinner.

      I'd recommend trying out the large selection of other Thai options in NYC, most of which are also cheaper than Sabai. There are tons of great options including Mitr Thai, Pranakhon, and Soothr just to list a few.

      Average Thai restaurant in the city. Not the best I ever had. Would I come back again... probably not unless that was the only option in the area. There was too much bamboo in all the dishes! The Curry puffs tasted like Indian Samosas. The chicken wings were Okish... probably a 5/10. Everything lacked flavor and was one note. It's an ok option if you are really hungry and craving Thai food and you happen to be nearby. The Drunken Noodles and Panang Curry both had WAAAAAY too much bamboo... pretty much just tasted the bamboo. I would give this a 5/10 overall.
