San Francisco International Airport (SFO), clearly the greatest airline transport center in the United States. It's easily accessible off of the 101 and is enormous. Virtually all airlines arrive and depart from SFO and each experience has been a wonderful and comforting here at this airport.

There a huge parking garage with many levels with a daily max of $33 for 24 hours, a cost that you'd usually expect for parking with the SF county and also public transportation all around from BART, Air Train, Buses, etc. The infrastructure is clearly well maintained as most of the airport looks very clean and closely monitored. There are delicious food choices available prior to boarding your plane, although hefty prices are expected. Nonetheless, it's truly a great experience having to fly in and out of SFO.

With the new Terminal 2 just opened, SFO is only getting better. They've installed water fountains that has filters to provide clean water, very useful charging stations in case you drain you electronics battery life while waiting for your flight and they even have a shop where you can receive a massage to relax your prior to your flight or after. Above all, SFO is the way to go. No airport does it better.

Hands down the best terminal at SFO. It's well positioned in the middle of the terminals, has an extremely friendly TSA, great food, and a practical design for travelers. As Alaska Airlines nears its move and get closer and closer toleaving this terminal, I wanted to give a shout out to my favorite terminal at SFO (one of my favorite in the country too).

The security design is large enough to accommodate all traveler types (tsa, non-tsa, and clear), the agents are friendly, and the line goes fast (even with what looks like a long line, about 15 minutes from line to gate). It also has some of the best airport food from Napa Farms, snacks like Pinkberry, and other sitdown eateries which have a variety of food items, not just fried food or big chains like some of the other terminals.

It also has a practical flow that allows you to manage gate switches with ease (e.g. gate d2 moving to gate d10), no problem for any traveler. It also has good spacing and modern enough for anyone's needs. The open design and large shape allows you to wait at a gate and not feel squished in.

It also allows pick ups at the gate and has a shorter walk to the BART should it be your choosing.

Boy am I going to miss this terminal layout, staff, and location.

Signage is a bit poor outside - I guess that's on me for not remembering to tell my friend I was flying Air Canada. Walked ages from where dropoff is marked "International Departures" is to gates C/D for Air Canada in Terminal 2.

I was okay and fine with walking for my step count, but for someone with mobility issues, that would have been torture.

Horrified to hear my disabled colleague (flying separately) had such a miserable experience both on arrival AND departure! Accessibility support did NOT arrive in 10-15 minutes and actually took 30-35 minutes.

Upon arrival into SFO, my colleague, with a disability flag, was forgotten on the plane!!

To top it off, the accessibility person assigned to them spoke about my colleague to other team members when they could have just asked my colleague directly about needs. So in addition to be forgotten, my colleague wasn't even treated like a real adult person.

      Here's what needs to happen:
      1) have people with walkie-talkies or whatever modern system you'd like to use be stationed at dropoff doors, especially for ride share and alert people with wheelchairs to be promptly dispatched.

      2) improve communication for incoming flights at gates so that people with wheelchairs can be at the ready and we don't have airplane cleaners giving forgotten people BS for not getting off the plane when they can't.

SFO is one of my favorite airports... there's a BART train connected to the airport terminal that takes me out to the city all the way to the East Bay. No ride share stress or dealing with expensive airport parking because I can easily hop into the Bart and be on my way... CONVENIENT! (=

Terminal 2 for Delta airlines is clean! Very well kept, the restrooms are tidy, variety of food & coffee shops available and there's even a yoga room!

SFO makes traveling less stressful for passengers and
I really appreciate it when airports are made convenient for us all (=

We liked the trip from SFO! We loved the speedy internet connection! I spent some time watching a movie!
At the return trip was great too! Not much of waiting for the customs!
Traffic was not bad too from to SFO!
Overall positive experience for international trips!

Run by morons. Could not show up to our gate to park the damn plane. Waited almost 45 mins. From an already 7 hour flight.

Everyone loves to hate on this airport ... but I'm still a fan. Hundreds of flights in and out, and MOST without a glitch. I get that the fog adds a layer of potential frustration, but what about the good food options, charging stations, museum displays, photography, ample seating, etc.? Could be much, much worse.

Flew out of SFO T2 the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Drop off by the ride-share was convenient and signage was plentiful to check-in.

TSA-Pre security checkpoint took a few minutes although the pre-screening agent was a touch short. The screening process was super quick with the ability to leave shoes and belts on as well as keeping liquids and laptops inside my luggage for convenience.

There were numerous food and beverage options although the Napa Farms Market only has limited options since pre-Covid. Other dining options seem to be either fast food or fast caual restaurants.

Attempted to purchase a periodical at the newstand and found it all that numerous outposts only had older editions in stock...

The terminal was a quiet terminal with annoucements only made at one's gate

Lovely new terminal and it's absolutely shiny with all new stores and restaurants. Love flying out of here and trying out all new spots .

So I arrived at 6:30am for a 9:30am flight, thinking the crowd would be small. Wrong. I didn't have to stand in the check your bag line, so on to security. Thankfully, I had the foresight to get TSA PreCheck / Clear months in advance, so obnoxiously smug, I sailed past the endless line. Now I had a ridiculous amount of time to kill.
No problem, as I realize I had chosen the wrong security line for the wrong gate. It's a very, very, very long walk down an endless hallway with no moving sidewalk, not a wheelchair in sight (luckily I didn't need).
Gate D was impressive, a bookstore, clothing shop, other retail, several cafes, restaurant, bar, & coffee stops.
      Gate C, not so much.
Like Gate C & D, no outlets in sight, so if your phone battery is low you'll be sitting on the ground at the one outlet next to the garbage cans. At least the airport is clean, and there's some pods of groovy retro upholstered chairs which are always taken.
No gender neutral bathrooms, but there is a baby changing & doggy bathroom. Nice touch.
There's helpful flight information signs everywhere, and the gate agents arrive about 1.5 hours before departure.
As with most airports, the overhead announcements are hard to hear over the people noise.
Gotta say, SFO is one of the better airports, lots of new building, decent local food stops, not a Mickey D in sight.
