      Best experience we've ever had buying a used car. We have a real aversion to car dealerships because we don't like high-pressure sales tactics (who does?), so we hesitate to buy a new or used car, ever. We kept our last car (1995 Toyota Camry) for 20 years until it developed a head gasket leak last week. Not wanting anything too different, we decided to look for a newer version of the Camry, and found a low-mileage 2011 Camry for sale at San Francisco Toyota. We inquired about the car on their website, and heard from Christian Young by email early the next morning.

      We were going to go see the car right away, but Christian told us that he (or someone) had noticed some body damage on the car, and they had sent it to their auto body shop for repair. Christian called later that day to say the car was back from the body shop, and he offered to come pick us up for a test drive (we live about 2 miles from the showroom). The car looked showroom perfect in every way, exactly like a brand-new car (though it had 66K miles). Christian was super professional, friendly and low-key. SF Toyota has a "one price" policy meaning they offer cars at their best price, and there is no haggling, which we strongly prefer! The car had been advertised at one price, but Christian said they were going to increase the price a few hundred dollars due to the body work required. However, he said that if we bought the car that day, his manager would honor the original price. There was no pressure, Christian was just explaining the situation.

      We were completely satisfied with the car, but wanted to get it checked out by our mechanic. Christian said that we could buy the car that day, and for $150 extra we could have up to 48 hours to return the car (subject, also, to a re-stocking fee). We went with that option, and our mechanic's inspection found the car to be in very good condition. The mechanic found that SF Toyota had put in a new battery, and also replaced the entire rack & pinion steering assembly. It's clear that the car must have been involved in some recent minor accident (not shown on the CarFax report) that damaged the body panel and perhaps the steering assembly, but we are happy with the car. The whole purchase process was made very smooth and painless by Christian and the good folks at SF Toyota. I especially appreciated that there were no last-minute "dealer add-ons" to the price, and no pressure to buy any extended warranties. Thank you, Christian!

      Excellent experience buying a used vehicle (trade-in). My sales representative, Erick, and his supervisor, Alan, were extremely helpful/informative and not pushy at all (a rarity for car dealers unfortunately). They list their used cars for a no-haggle price near the lower bound of the KBB range, which allows the sale process to focus on customer service rather than horse trading. Even though this was a lower margin deal (used vehicle, paid in cash) Erick spent the better part of his Friday with me to get it done.

      The dealership also allowed me to take the vehicle off site for a pre-purchase inspection at a private garage. Ultimately, this was probably overkill on my part given the dealership provides a 3 month engine/powertrain warranty on used vehicles.

      I found a dislodged fog light during the walkthrough; Erick issued a written "IOU" certificate to come and get it fixed with their service department at no charge.

      Overall, great service and an exceptionally honest sales experience - highly recommend.

      SF Toyota has excellent inventory, mostly very competitive prices, and does not utilize high pressure sales tactics. I searched for a hard to find car on Autotrader, and found it advertised much cheaper than any other dealer within 100 miles. Typically this means it is a trap, that dealer fees and "optional" accessories will inflate that number by several thousand dollars.

      This wasn't the case in my experience. I worked with Mason Garrett while I was traveling out of state, he quickly provided me with an accurate out the door price in two minutes that was 10% cheaper than any comparable car. There is no haggling here, they'll give you a firm, competitive price the first time you ask. While it may be possible to drive a couple hours away and grind, beat up and argue with a salesman to save a couple hundred bucks, it's absolutely worth it to build a good relationship founded on good faith negotiation.

      Mason kept me up to date on every development with the arriving car, provided pictures and answered all questions in a timely manner. He was on time for my appointment, was friendly, very knowledgeable about his product, and did not pressure me WHATSOEVER to buy a vehicle from him. When the car I wanted ended up not being a good fit, he was the first to agree, provide reasonable alternatives, and still attempt to find me a car appropriate for my wants and needs. This man is a consummate professional, trustworthy, friendly, and someone I would have ZERO hesitation to work with in the future, and I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking at a Toyota.

      I ended up going in a different direction due to a phenomenal deal I found on a different brand, but my experience at the Van Ness store was flawless from start to finish.

      I went in looking for a van for the family make an appointment with one of the sales team I don't want to put his name here so he can have his job I had the worst experience ever he didn't even said good morning he just got us on the car and drove off without talking and explaining what the car feature it has I ask a question he said look online you should read before you come here then I don't respond I meet my cool then I told him I want to see a different van and he wasn't happy but he did it anyway when we get to the place to see the van he grab the key then he said I open the door so I went go a head check the van out asking him a question he keep telling me to go online check it out again I keep my cool so we said ok so we need to think b/ n Those two van no respond he took as back to the dealer he said you want your car key he doesn't even care and interact with us in our way back the the dealer also I forgot he was driving like a maniac so I requested for sales manager which is Steven Kwan
      He apologizing for his behavior then he get as a new sales person Ryan Dong.

      My sales associate was Erick Fernandez, and he made the whole car buying process so seamless and effortless. I literally came in for my 2 PM appointment, traded in my old BMW, went on a test drive, and left purchasing a new car by 3:20 PM. He was so attentive, transparent, and he even dropped off my new car at my home after the dealership programmed my second car fob key and detailed it.

      I highly recommend this dealership on Van Ness. I love my car so much!!! I got the 2023 bz4x Limited AWD

      When I learned the service advisor who helped me over the past six or seven years worked here on certain days, I made a point to make service appointments for my brother's van at this location. My first visit was five years ago and I learned it is a lot closer to my workplace.

      The entrance is in the middle of the block on the east side of Van Ness between California and Sacramento Streets. There are two openings with the entrance to the right and exit to the left as you face the building. It seems larger than the Geary location, likely since it's entirely indoors. The podiums for the service advisors are along the left wall. Bringing it in on a Friday morning, there was a bit of a line but the wait was short. I ended up doing a major service and addressing a few issues so it was pretty much an all day job. Going to Chinatown for errands, I walked a couple blocks and caught the 1 California bus.

      My advisor called me with their findings and gave me an estimate for the work. After approving everything, he told me that it should be ready before they close at 5:30 pm. Tommy called me at 4:30 pm and arranged for a ride share vehicle to pick me up from my office. When I arrived, about ten minutes before the appointed time, he asked me to stay at the waiting area beside the cashier desk. A few minutes later, I paid after being told the vehicle was ready. Tommy mentioned a non-essential issue related to a lit warning light. He advised me to keep an eye on certain things and gave me a time and cost estimate in repairing the issue, warning me of what to look for.

      Thanks to Tommy and the team here for servicing my brother's van. It's a lot more convenient for me on weekdays to come here.

      This is my second leased car from Toyota. This time is with Vanness location. It was a great experience although some hiccup along the way but overall, it was a great experience indeed.

      Erick - who is our Sales Rep. He was very helpful and friendly. He helped us find a car with a price that fits our need. We finally got the car that we grow to love and enjoy. We really appreciate all his help and support as well. He is great in customer service too! We talked a lot during the ride to pick up the key and it does not make us feel like we were wasting our time at all. He helped us through the whole process until delivering the key to us when picked up. Thank you so much Erick!

      Steven - who helped us do all the paperwork. He is very smiley and helpful. We didn't have so much time that day and he finally helped us make it happen. He helped us with all the paperwork process, explained and suggested what we needed with the car that could help us use with peace. We finally purchased the tire protection as well. I also agreed that we probably need it in the long run as we don't know what we will be driving onto these days. I got my first car tire punctured and I didn't have this protection at that time and it cost me $350 out of pocket to change one tire. However, during the paperwork, the person named Frank called to inform me that there was some system issue that caused the price to be calculated wrong. There was some negotiating along the line but in the end Frank contacted me back to let me know that they will honor and be responsible for the system error on their side. I hardly see that in the corporate world these days how the big company can accept and be responsible for their mistakes and this is impressive. So, thank you both for helping us with all that!

      Alan - Sales Manager who contacted me to check in if all the issues are solved and if we finally ended up happy or disappointed. We are very happy with how the team managed to really communicate with every single customers to make sure they are happy and satisfied with the purchase. From GM to Sales Manager and from Sales Manager to the team to work together to find solutions for customers. I am actually very impressed and appreciated. Thank you!

      I used to think the target and sales goal are the only thing this type of company care about but they have shown that the before, during and after service are also the big chunk of it that they do care. So, thank you so much for helping us solved all the issues and make sure we are happy with the purchase. And we definitely are!

      So, if you are thinking of buying or leasing a car, Toyota will definitely be a great selection for you. And the car runs great so far as well!

      I purchased a 2024 Camry hybrid. I hate car dealers. We went to another dealer closer to us but had a horrible experience.
      The staff at Van Ness went above and beyond my expectations.
      I will update my review to see if my Camry gets repaired as it has some blemishes I didn't see when we bought the car.
      Staff is friendly. Tim Li was a great help.
      Highly recommend sfo Toyota. We drove from walnut Creek that says it all.

      I love my Hybrid Camry. Thank you San Francisco Toyota.

      I had an outstanding experience with SF Toyota.

      I was assisted by Vic for the test drive, and his profound knowledge stood out. Unlike other dealerships, SF Toyota made a strong first impression by demonstrating their professionalism through a deep understanding of the finer details, such as the distinctions between the 2022 and 2023 models.

      However, I'd like to dedicate this review to Dan, my salesman. Working with Dan made me feel at ease. It's rare for me to be so impressed, but Dan and Vic truly impressed me with their in-depth knowledge and their ability to convey information effortlessly. Dan ensured that my experience was free of awkwardness, and he excelled in every aspect, earning a perfect 10/10 for knowledge, courtesy, communication, and transparency.

      He offered assistance with setting up my audio system and connecting my CarPlay. During my second visit to the dealership, this time with my mom, Dan's respectful and considerate demeanor towards her further my positive impression.

      This being my first brand new car, I will remember this experience and enthusiastically recommend Dan to anyone in search of a new vehicle.

      I have purchased three new cars from SF Toyota. That's because of the ease of purchase and the wonderful service. My salesperson is Sabrina from the Geary location. We have bought all three vehicles from her. She is wonderful and is not your typical salesperson. Very easy going and not pushy. We also got a great price. This dealer even advertises several of their models at a discount. My Corolla Hybrid was discounted from the MSRP. Most dealers charge a mark-up.
      If you want great service and a great price, go to SF Toyota for a great deal...

      I recently purchased a Toyota Corolla LE from San Francisco Toyota and was impressed by the service I received from Product Specialist Jamir. The whole process was very transparent and the savings I received on financing was amazing.
      As much as I despise buying a new car, Jamir made it so simple and easy. Very knowledgeable about the product and didn't waste my time through the process.
