Skyrocket HVAC & Appliance repair

Our ac stopped cooling and skyrocket services were available the earliest. David diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the capacitor to fix the issue. The cost to repair was much higher than other hvac service companies. I didnt get any total service estimate prior to the service and had to get it done anyways because of the 4th holiday.

Skyrocket replied right away to the Yelp inquiry for A/C repair and had several appointments slots the same day despite it being a holiday in the middle of a heat wave. The Service Tech came out within the expected service window. He quickly diagnosed the problem as likely a blown capacitor -- apparently that's quite common. He explained the situation and provided a fair estimate for a repair to be done on the spot. The repair and costs went as projected and we were enjoying cool air again within the hour. We are very pleased with the service. The service tech was prompt, friendly, and dealt with us fairly.

We had an old aircon that uses the discontinued R22 freon. The air con stopped giving cold air . The first company we contacted only took a 1 minute look and told me to replace the whole system and gave us a quote of 10k.

We wanted a second opinion and contacted Skyrocket. David came and opened up the unit outside. He checked the pressured and spent the time to see what went wrong. Then he gave me a few options. He did recommend replacing the system the best solution. However, I like the fact that all the options are laid out so i could make an informed choice. We chose the cheaper option which is the find and fix the leak of the freon and then replace it with a substitute (since R22 is no longer available. He did explained to me the risk involved going this route .

In the end, he found the leak, fixed it and refilled with the alternative R22 (I forgot the exact type ) . And we saved thousands of dollars.

So far, the air con is still going strong after the repair.

David is friendly, respectful and professional. He patiently explained to me the issue and the pros and cons for each option. I wouldn't blame other companies that recommended me to replace the system since our air con system is indeed very old. But I am happy to have all the options of different price range laid out so that I can make a informed decision.

Writing a review so I can remember to come back to this guy from my next repair. Really great service, provided a price quote right upfront, showed me the problem and then fixed it. I thought that our dryer might be off and or out of balance and it wound up being a roller broke. The technician was very polite didn't leave a mess and even vacuumed after.

Really great service for repairing heating furnace. We worked with a fantastic service tech named Ruslan - highly knowledgeable and honest. He explained the context of the repair and why we needed to go the extra mile replacing three components, gas valve, control panel and pressure controller.
1star reduced simply because I found similar parts online for much cheaper than what was paid but overall, ensuring proper fits, safe installation and timely recovery of heat is worth the known added cost.

My heater broke down on a chilly December weekend. I called them Sunday morning, they came in promptly on Sunday afternoon, found the issue and fixed it. My Carrier Gas heater igniter was broken and it started working well as soon as that was replaced. They also gave me suggestions about the filters to use and why. Great customer service, will definitely recommend them.

Skyrocket has fixed our refrigerator and dryer. They've been great. Big recommendation!

David was professional, on time, friendly, helpful, and informative. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave me a clear explanation of what was needed to fix it. The fees were reasonable and he was kind enough to fix our fridge handle before he left (something I had been putting off for a long time!)

Just had Skyrocket come by and fix my furnace. It turned out we needed to replace a blown out capacitor. Skyrocket had the replacement part with them and got it fixed & up in no time (Thanks David!). The service was prompt, the technician was corteous and knowledgeable, also gave me some feedback about my inquiry into a heat pump. So overall I had a great customer experience, and would definitely recommend Skyrocket for anyone with appliance issues !

After our usual HVAC company had to cancel at the last minute, I was able to get a same-day appointment with Skyrocket due to someone cancelling on them.
From phone staff to technicians, they were punctual, professional, friendly, helpful, informative and reasonably-priced, all the things you'd want from a contractor. On top of all that, they found our issue, explained our options and fixed it within an hour.
