Three of us had been to Nook (pizza) a while ago, and so I was looking forward to trying out the pasta here, though just down to the two of us this time around.

      - Bruschetta with prosciutto: delicious! The bread was toasted nicely with a soft interior (not like some bruschetta that's super hard all the way through lol). The mozzarella was drizzled with some olive oil and prosciutto lined the bottom of the wooden serving block. The prosciutto was a bit salty, so only a small amount was needed for an optimal balance of mozzarella, meat, and bread.
      - Pulled Pork Ragu: it appeared to be a moderate-sized portion, but it was indeed quite filling, on the heavier side as far as pasta dishes go. The meat was really good, and the pasta was perfectly al dente - on point.
      - Tonnarelli Cacio Pepe: this was a vegetarian pasta with cheese and pepper. I liked the ragu better, but maybe it's because I like meat haha. I felt like the ragu was more flavourful than this white pasta.
      - Sticky toffee pudding: this was quite sweet, with cake drenched in the sticky syrup. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I enjoyed it. As the cake slowly disappeared, so did the syrup, as it soaked into the remaining cake.

Both pastas were good, but the standout for me was the bruchetta. Definitely great Italian food to be had here!

Found this spot with all the haole people outside for an Italian spot so knew it had some weight to it. 5/5 just for the service team cause your boi showed up 30 mins late and they still fit us in (at the bar) but can't complain on that. The ragu ho dam was it hot, mean, and sweet just like my gf after I piss her off. The crostini and gnocchi were good but nothing crazy. Great casual date spot for you and your SO. Portions look small but fill you up quicker than you think. Bulk approved

Quaint atmosphere, the staff helped us with seating right, very polite staff. My wife had the rigatoni pork ragu which was delicious, great flavor. I had the pasta off of the special menu with braised beef short rib in a sort au jus that was amazing, the dish was a savory comfort food that drove home an epicurean experience. We topped our dinner off with the sticky toffee pudding, absolute home run. If ever back in Vancouver we're stopping there for another fine dining adventure.

We were staying right next door to Tavola at the Times Square Suites hotel. One of the employees suggested we eat here, and not only did we have one dinner, we ordered out a second night. We sat at the bar on a Monday night and Zach the bartender took good care of us. We ordered the crostini special of the day, which was a wild mushroom preparation, and the pear and gorgonzola crostini. Zach suggested instead of a whole order of each, we order two each if we were going to have a meal as well. They were both wonderful! We then ordered the arugula salad. It was exactly as stated on the menu; arugula, olive oil, lemon, and parmesan. There was a lot of arugula and felt it could have one other type of lettuce with it to cut through the bitterness.

The star of the night was the Brick Chicken with roasted garlic au jus. We usually never order chicken out, but read so much about how good it was. It was so tender and juicy that it was the reason why we ordered it for carryout again the second time. It takes 30 minutes to prepare and they tell you that.

Our carryout service was ordered on Saturday at around 8:30pm and the host called to let us know it would be 30 minutes for the chicken. The order was ready at exactly when he said. This time we ordered the special crostinis with zucchini and fresh corn and they were equally as delicious as the others we ordered at the beginning of the week. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are staying right next door.

We had some in our group of seven (five adults and two kids) who at the last minute wanting Italian food. So, we found Tavola and called. They were able to seat us for early dinner (6:00) in the enclosed and heated patio. It was a great space in a beautiful restaurant.

The service was outstanding. Just superb. Friendly and the perfect amount of helpful and responsive.

The food was excellent and executed perfectly. We enjoyed everything we had.

We will definitely be back next time we visit Vancouver. (And I post this as a second generation Italian-American.)

      TWO stars is generous!

If one takes time to get their food, and be constantly reminded that we had to vacate the table at exactly 8 - we book for 6:30 but got in early at 6, and they happened to reserve it for 8!!! If I was picking up the tab, it would have been a zero tip- and yes, it's ok to do it.
The food, and nobody goes out for just the food. Restaurant dining is about the experience. Anyway, the beef cheeks and risotto was unbelievable.
Anton's may be a better option, and if you live in Vancouver; when you know, you know

Great restaurant, great ambiance, great food and I totally fell in love with my waitress. She recommended the most delicious Rigatoni with Pork Ragu. We also tried all of the crostini and each one was unique and fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you see a tall reserved beautiful waitress with a great sense of humor tell her I'll marry her and move to Vancouver

Tavola is one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver. This is our third trip in the past few years to Vancouver - and each trip we've also made a trip to Tavola! Tonight's food was exceptionally good, even compared to our prior visits. It's was a memorable meal that will bring us back on our next trip. Here's the order:

      - Fresh Burrata with Prociutto - my husband and son devoured this. My son said the burrata was exceptionally good.
      - Eggs and white anchoivies - always good. Often times a whole anchovy filet will be too much for me, but the white anchovies they use are not overly fishy and they add a good flavor to the perfectly made eggs.
      - Bibb lettuce Salad - nice and fresh
      - Campanelle mushrooms, prociutto and lemon - if you love mushrooms and fresh pasta, this is the perfect dish for you.
26oz. Dry Aged, Prime, Rib Steak and arugula salad - this was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly grilled to medium rare, and I like the sprinkle of sea salt on top. I think it's better than steaks we get in steakhouses.
Affogato - the decaf coffee was a little too bitter, but it was still a good dessert.
      Tiramisu - a standard tiramisu
