Let me preface this with being from California with some the best Mexican food trucks in NorCal and taco stands in SoCal, boy have I been spoiled. Our party had the chicken tacos, chicken tostada, chicken burritos, and pastor burritos, oddly enough they tasted all the same. As some sort of animal protein was over pulsed in the food processor with lots of water and no seasoning. The only thing barely passable what thee carne asada tacos which were mediocre at best. Sorry to say I know we are nowhere near Mexico but this was "aye caramba"...I know this review may hurt the business but the truth must be told.

Never mind margarita glass of ice splash of lime and tequila...we spent well over $100 CAD and wish we stuck to the other establishments on Robson. The only bright spot were the servers, thus the 1 star they earned...otherwise be forewarned. I was really puzzled by the ratings!?!

Ambiance, cleanliness and delicious foods. Friendly little spot with indoor and outdoor seating on Granville Island Food Market. Happy to have stumbled on this place while in Vancouver.

It was really unfortunate to receive such a bad order this was through DoorDash though. I ordered a burrito with no protein as I am vegetarian and as I got through some of my burrito they had put chicken in it which makes me sick. I am also confused with their chilaquiles as it is just chips with a little bit of cheese and beans on the side with no salsa verde. There was not an item correct in my order. I do want to say they were helpful over the phone but the reason they gave was that people forget to add protein and because I didn't they added it anyway.... That is on other costumers not me. I don't think I will be coming back as nothing was quite upsetting. I was not in store cannot speak about the ambiance there for I will not speak on it.

Visited on the weekend to try the menudo (ie billed as a weekend special) only to discover they don't serve it *every* weekend and they didn't have it the weekend we were there. I wish their website have given this context and saved us a trip.

Since we were already seated, we decided to try other dishes. My chilaquiles (tomatillo sauce) were ok. The refried beans had great flavor but were pureed so there was no texture and kinda loose/soupy (ie not easy to eat with the fork I was given). Nothing bad about the food but also nothing exceptional.

The restaurant is a hole in the wall kind of place - homey on the inside with a general tacky feeling to furniture and menus.

This place is kind of small and didn't look too exciting from the outside, but we were glad we went in because the servers were friendly and the food was delicious! My daughter and I decided to share the nachos, which was a good decision because the portions were huge! My husband got the barrigón, which is a mix of meats in a flavorful, slightly spicy sauce. So good! Be forewarned, if you speak Spanish you will notice that there is a swear word in the poem on the wall. If you don't speak Spanish, then you can just admire the pretty decoration.

Located in The heart of downtown/Yaletown, I found this place to be pretty decent with a variety of vegetarian options. The ambiance is very simple and the restaurant is a small one. However, the food is really good overall.

We started with chips, Gauc and salsa. Gauc was tangy and went very well with chips. I even liked my margarita, not too sweet and perfect taste with 1.5 Oz of Alchohol.

In the main course, we tried a few things. Quesadillas were made vegetarian and had versatile vegetables and tasted pretty well. Chimichanga was soaked in a red sauce was quite filling. My friends enjoyed their dishes too. The rice that came along was flavorful.

Overall happy to have tried this place. Parking is anywhere there is a space in and around the restaurants. $3 an hour for street parking.

Seeing that this place has 4.4 stars with over 1.6K reviews on Google and over 4.5 star rating on Yelp, I was excited to try this place out. Compared to most of the other places, it is not too pricey either.

The place has a very homey feel to it. You don't need reservations. They have tables inside and outside as well. We went during dinner time and were able to find a table immediately.

We started with ordering some tacos - beef tongue and chorizo. My colleague ordered a chimichanga. We also decided to get some drinks.

The tacos came with just the meat and they were a very small portion. The chorizo one was delicious but there were no additional flavors or anything else to accompany it which made the experience disappointing. I had never had beef tongue and I couldn't have more than one bite of it. The tongue lacked any flavor and as with the chorizo taco, it came with nothing to add to the taco to balance out flavors.

The chimichanga was delicious. The broth that came with it was a great accompaniment and added to the flavors. We also ordered the grilled cheese which was very cheesy and tasted amazing. The salsa verde did not have much flavor but the salsa fresca was great with it.

What left us the most despondent were the drinks. They were so watered down that they tasted like water and you couldn't even taste the alcohol.

Even though there were only two tables left including us by the time we left, the two waitresses were busy chatting instead of attending to the tables.

I would not recommend this place and would not return.
