The Shameful Tiki Room is a 1,200 square foot, 50 seat restaurant/bar that specializes in old school Tiki ambience - think one part Trader Vic's meets one part Disneyland! Taking care to replicate the ambience and cocktails of masters like Don the Beachcomber and the "Kon Tiki" lounge of yesteryear, our room has a fun menu of share plates, snacks and meals to carry you through your journey. With over three dozen classic cocktails on our menu as well as a great selection of non alcoholic drinks, The Shameful Tiki Room takes it's craft of reviving Tiki culture seriously indeed. In the tradition of classic Tiki rooms you will find that the music is never too loud, the lights are dim, there is no phone ringing and the capacity never crosses it's limit. Occasionally you may be greeted by a live band performing classic surf tunes or hawaiian ukuleles, and most evenings have specials like Saturdays "original cocktail" program. And of course, the call of "Mystery Bowl" can be heard in the distance....

This is a great tiki dive bar in every sense of the word. The drinks are strong and very tasty. We went on, to my utter delight, on $10 Mai Tai Monday. Their Mai Tai is based on the classic, Trader Vic's 1944 original recipe. They are fantastic! My wife and I shared the Mystery Bowl, which was presented by the striking of a gong and an announcement from the regulars! The Mystery Bowl is for two in a bowl shaped like a giant blue oyster. A very good, and strong drink with a pair of 1/2 lime shells and flaming sugar cubes.
The atmosphere is classic tiki bar, low lighting, punctuated by glowing fixtures. The background music is combination of classic and modern exotica, and two small TVs behind the bar playing a classic Japanese B&W monster movie, muted, and on loop. Great fun!
We didn't have anything to eat beyond a bowl of "Tiki Nuts". A bowl of nicely seasoned mix nuts that went very well with the tiki drinks. The service provided by the wait staff was first rate, despite the fact it was a very busy Monday night. I think this place is always busy. So, make a reservation and come early. Our reservations were for 5:30, just after it opened, and because it really is quite a small place, you have a two hour reservation window. Really long enough to get a really good buzz going. Get an Uber to and from here, because you'll needing it! I can't recommend the Shameful Tiki highly enough.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amanda H.Westmount, Edmonton, Canada01Jul 29, 2024Seated via Yelp Reservations

We came to the Shameful Tiki Room as a party of four on Saturday night at 11:30 PM. It was a fun atmosphere-mood lighting, decor and music. They fully embody the spirit of tiki-we felt the love and the festivity the moment we walked inside. For a business named "Shameful", it is the furthest from.
Throughout our time, when a table ordered a "Mystery Bowl" or "Volcano Bowl"...it was fun. I won't give away the surprise as we did not order those amongst ourselves. But it was fun.
I ordered two cocktails. Personally I am not the biggest rum drinker, but I love that their menu had many options for other base spirits that were just as tiki, as well as non alcoholic drinks for designated drivers. They take care of everybody!
Pilikia-a mezcal base drink which was tropical and funky. I loved this drink from start to finish and it started with fire. This was one of the best cocktails I have ever had.
Sand and Sea-a tequila based drink which was blue, sour and fruity. Complete with umbrella.
Their food was awesome too-my favorite was the samosas, but their mango sticky rice wasn't too sweet. Their salad and baby back ribs were enjoyable too.
We can't wait to return and try some group drinks for ourselves!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 18, 2024
This cozy Tiki Room is beautifully decorated, artistically lit, and even incorporates a brief volcano show with fog and lighting effects.
The drink list includes all of the classics, and some additional excellent concoctions. I particularly enjoyed the Day of the Dead. The drink ingredients are top-notch.
The pupu platter is perhaps not the best choice, but the Pork Sliders, Crab Dip, and Nachos were all excellent. Note that the nachos are HUGE, even in the smaller order.
Nice service and great ambiance make this one of the better tiki bars-- and I've visited many!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 30788219Aug 16, 2024Seated via Yelp Reservations
After reading the massive amount of positive reviews about this place, I was SO excited for our reservation this past weekend. My fiancé and I booked the reservation 3+ months in advance because we were told that spots fill quickly.
Unfortunately, if I could sum up our experience in a few words, I would say it was just OK. The drinks were fine, but not memorable - I had the Heart of Gold, and my fiancé had the Cocktail Orange. The service was decent, great towards the beginning but it took some time to get our bill (the waitress did apologize for the wait when she came back with it).
Maybe I'm just not an indoor tiki bar person, as the whole vibe felt pretty cramped and inauthentic to me. Honestly, while I can see how some people would really enjoy the experience here, I'm not sure that I would come back the next time I'm in town unless perhaps some friends were interested in trying it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 15, 2024
Super fun tiki themed restaurant and bar hidden away on main street. An awesome place to come with a group of friends. Super reasonable pricing for drinks, considering how large some of the cocktails are.
I got the Blue Hawaii & my friend the Chi Chi. They were super similar in flavor profile, so I can't speak on their stronger drinks, but these were fun and fruity. We also shared the nachos, which were a size small if you could believe it. We couldn't finish them, as the portion was extremely generous.
I'd come back for another fun night out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 6, 2024
I came here on request of my mom, who isn't just into the tiki scene, she is the tiki scene; as I am visiting the area. The food was actually very good and much better priced than what I had seen prior to even flying to Canada. Maybe it was the conversion rates? I dunno, but doesn't matter. What matters is the food was good. Apparently the drinks were good as my fiance enjoyed his drink.
The service was prompt (never a word I thought I'd use with a tiki bar) and the bar tender was super sweet and super kind.
The entire bar wasn't nearly as busy (talking decorations, the bar itself was packed) as say the Golden Tiki in Las Vegas. I'd say it's fitting nicely between Stowaway and Tiki Ko. Lots to see, but not so dark you can't see anything.
I'd go back with my mom - as I will be immagrating here, but it's not my fiance and I's scene, which is fine, doesn't mean it's a bad bar. If it was, it wouldn't have the rating I gave it. But if you're in the area and are into tiki, make sure you stop in!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris R.Eastvale, CA33722Jul 11, 2024
Ambiance - A+ - If you love the Tiki style and culture this place is for you! Along with the decor they have fun chants and special effects (lights, smoke, thunder, etc) at various times. Really enjoyed it!
Service - A+ - Sat at the bar and were well taken care of. Water presented immediately, drinks were made quickly and with care. Friendly conversation and a few good stories as well.
Drinks - B - Awesome selection and good flavor. My only small gripe is that their drinks are whipped by something I can only describe as a milkshake machine. This causes the drinks to have an enormous amount of froth, which helps with the presentation but isn't very conducive to drinking. Got pretty messy. Also the crushed ice kept clogging the straw and made it hard to enjoy at times. Minor inconvenience in the logo run.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 24, 2023Seated via Yelp Reservations

They taste just as good as the presentation meets the eye.

Shameful is a tiki bar with amazing drink options and food selection! I have come here three times before and always had a good time. I usually always order their Volcano bowl which is a fish bowl drink with around 6 shots in it. It is definitely a strong drink but also delicious!! Every time someone orders the Volcano bowl, the bar has sound and light effects that turn on.. it is pretty cool! They do the same for their other two bowls as well!
For food we got their full portion of nachos for the table - the portion was huge and the nachos were amazing! I would highly recommend this for a large party.
The ambience of Shameful is dark with cool lights! If you decide to go here for day drinking, make sure to wear sunnies because when you leave the restaurant, the sun really hits your eyes.
I went here for their Waikiki Wednesdays, they have hula dancers who have a performance around 8pm. It was super fun and felt nice supporting local talent!!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 8Oh no 0 - Chris M.Philipsburg, PA991Aug 15, 2024
