I'm staying at hotel 32one for two nights and was told that this parking garage was their spot for parking while I stay. Will my car be safe?

      A:

It should be fine during the day. It is well staffed. IDK about overnight. I'd say it's no more risky than anywhere else downtown. They have cameras if that makes you feel better.

My husband likes to park here occasionally during the work week. Though we usually have to venture up to the top floor to find parking - due to this garage filling up quickly - it's always been fairly easy coming in and out of this garage. On days when it's particularly full - they'll valet your car for you. I always appreciate the staff that work in the booth - as you enter and leave this garage. They're full of wonderful energy and always go out of their way to ask how we're doing.

White House Garage - is not cheap - but if you want something convenient and fairly safe - it's a decent call.

      Trust.

Street parking's not really an option in the immediate area. And, even if it were, probably not the best or safest option for your ride. White House garage starts at $10/hr. currently with various other pricing options for longer stays. It's quite clean inside by notorious SF standards. Friendly, observant lot attendants, one of whom offered his assistance with their ticket-out machines. Yeah, the ramps are kinda hairy, particularly with oversized vehicles. Proceed with caution and you should be fine. However, it's not the garage of choice for anything much larger than SUV's as the vertical clearance as posted going in is relatively low. Significantly, it looks like they have a decent surveillace system to guard against theft and break-in's, another staple of the City.
Garage worked perfect for my quick visit to the Shreve Bldg. @ 210 Post St. It's SF after all, so there's basically a luxury tax on most goods & services offered anywhere in the City.

I LOVE the White House Garage. So easy to get to and central to pretty much anything in Union Square or the Financial District. So easy to get into, find parking, and to pay and get out of. I love that it's white because it doesn't feel so creepy and dark. There is lots of light and it has big ceilings and enough room to actually drive around without feeling like I'm going to crash into another vehicle or wall because of an obscene attempt to capitalize on space for parking. Price is totally competitive and if it were more, it would be worth every penny.

This place is the only place I found so far that has in/out privilege. It's $42 for 24 hours and you pay in advance at the kiosk. Not five stars because the parking spaces are tight and driving up the ramp was pretty scary.

We went into SF for a holiday brunch and a show on Sunday,12/19/21. When we picked ipnrhe car a few hours later the fee was around $20-25. Imagine my surprise when I saw on my bank statement that I had been charged $203.

I called the number on the website and they referred me to their manage, a guy named Abey. I called him. He called me back. I explained the situation and he asked me to send him documentation. I sent it and never heard from him. I called and left 3-4 other messages over the next few weeks with no response.

I have now referred the situation to Michael Finney and the 7 on your side news program. Hoping to get some resolution. Going I'm into SF is troubling enough - it's even worse when vendors rip you off.

Wow we really loved this garage! The packing spaces were oversized. Not to worry about door dings. It was super clean they had a man going around on a golf cart picking up trash. It was expensive but definitely worth it for piece of mind.

There's a sign out front that reads $8, but as you are turning in (attempting to avoid traffic and pedestrians) you may fail to read the part about "for the first hour".
Additionally, you won't know the cost of 2nd hour unless you make a special trip to the pay kiosks and look for the hourly payment sign. It's $12 for the second hour and another $5 for every 30 min thereafter. I was charged $25 for what I thought was $16 for 2 hour parking. I was 6 min over 2hours, so I got to pay the additional $5.
I should have known the garage was going to be more spendy than $8/ hr as there are lovely Christmas decorations and music throughout the building. Also, the floors are painted like you rolled into a vehicle showroom. I honestly thought $8/ hour was expensive enough.

It seems to be suited for all day parking ($24) as long as you arrive before 10AM.
Do NOT park here if you're only going to be a couple of hours in the downtown area. Go to Sutter / Stockton garage or the 5th and Mission garage. They're far more reasonable.

Overall, I think the White House Garage's method of pricing is altogether disingenuous and the sign out front is completely misleading.

Terribly cramped slots which all have pillars next to each parking. The winding slopes up and down the floors are steep and angled. I've only seen the first floor and didn't imagine the upper floors being such a disaster to be in. I can't possibly imagine all the parking and reversing situations running smooth in a non-COVID, busy day.

This structure looks like a building that was repurposed as a parking facility, and clearly looks like a haphazard inside. Corner slots are also angled and may get blocked by the adjacent straight slots and the pillars upon exiting. Highly likely that an accident may happen without extreme caution.

I prefer Sutter and Stockton over this location for its cheaper cost and spaciousness, but +1 star for the windows and sunlight.
