Leo’s 5-star review: OMG THIS PLACE IS LEGIT! If you ever wanted to go to a classic bar like you've seen in the movies this is the place for you! We went during happy hour(4-7pm) and chose a dozen oyster out of the 15 you can chose from and that's just oysters! We also got 2 shrimp cocktails to try and let me tell you the shrimp and the cocktail sauce is true love. The oysters are gently placed on a large steel plate filled to the brim with crushed ice with fish sauce, cocktail sauce and horseradish and 2 pieces of lemon. IF YOU ASK FOR MORE LEMON SLICES THEY BRING IT OUT ON A NICE PLATE ON TOP OF A DECORATED PAPER. THAT IS WHEN YOU KNOW THE SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH! Next was the bread and seaweed butter if you're feeling adventurous. You can really taste the saltiness in the butter but not the crystal salt you usually taste. It's a mild saltiness but it's creamier. The last part of the meal was the lobster linguini which was cooked el dente so it's not soft pasta by any means. The creaminess of the sauce really comes through into the pasta so every bite tasted cohesive. There were a generous amount of lobster that were fatty pieces which really absorbs the butter of the pasta dish. TIPS: -The pasta dish is saucy enough for you to put bread crumbs on top. This would have been better on a lasagna which is a traditionally saucier dish. The chef must've wanted to get that contrasting texture between the crumbling bread crumbs and the softer el dente pasta which would've been nicely executed if there was a bit more sauce. -This is an award winning bar and that is why I chose to sit at the bar. I ordered the Old King Cole Martini which is "Made in front of me". If I'm paying over 20 dollars for a Martini that is suppose to be made in front of me you bet you bottom dollar I would like to see the bartenders in action. Every bartender and service employee is dressed nicely and I think it's a shame that I watched the back of the bartender as he made my drink. Of course the drink tasted as fantastic as It looked but it would've been nice to see the hard work that goes into making the drink.
