Tostrud Center

Built in 2002, the Tostrud Center is a 95,000-square foot, state-of-the-art recreation fitness center that boasts an aerobics training facility, cutting-edge exercise machines, a weight-training area, a six-lane 200-meter track (with a concrete throws circle), a 292-meter walking/jogging upper track, and a 45-foot-high rock-climbing wall. Tostrud is the site of St. Olaf's home indoor track and field meets and also serves as a practice venue for numerous other teams, as it contains two 90-foot batting cages for baseball and softball and can accommodate four volleyball or basketball courts and four tennis courts. The upper and lower tracks were resurfaced in the fall of 2002 with a Beynon surface. The facility hosted the 2006 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships and the 2005 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
