The College Sports Communicators (CSC) - formerly the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) -
Academic All-America ® program honors elite student-athletes for their combined athletic and academic performances.
Currently, CSC recognizes Academic All-District ® and Academic All-America ® teams for men's soccer, women's soccer, football, women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, baseball, softball, men's track and field/cross country, and women's track and field/cross country. Many other sports - including the St. Olaf-sponsored sports of men's and women's golf, men's and women's hockey, men's and women's alpine skiing, and men's and women's Nordic skiing - are included in the At-Large program.
In each program, CSC membership submits Academic All-District ® honorees and CSC committees determine which of those honorees advance to the national ballots to determine the Academic All-America ® teams.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District and Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must:
- be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
- have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale)
- have met sport-specific athletic participation requirements
