Not enough time between flights in LA We booked flights from NZ to Puerto…

We booked flights from NZ to Puerto Vallarta, las Vegas and return. Unfortunately, our time between flights in LA is extremely tight. The cost to change this over site is basically $200pp, which seems unfair, especially given we booked 8 Months in advance! Almost $100pp for administration costs! The advised shortest time in LA by the airline is 2 hrs, we only have 1hr 35 minutes to collect bags, do customs, recheck in. Not being seasoned international travellers this is an honest mistake and unfortunately BudgetAir won't help unless we pay the extra. Another family member was phoned by their airline of the same problem, changed their flights to allow more time at no cost at all!

I used this website to get so flight tickets, there are many bad reviews out there but that wasn’t my case, I got email with tickets right away and the best price available/

Legit cheap flights

I was apprehensive at the start cause I haven't done 3rd party flight booking, but everything was actually pretty accurate. Plus the fact that we got great deal from them as compared to any other 3rd party agents.

Ticket Purchase - Smooth Sailing

I have purchased tickets but not yet undertaken travel.

The entire purchase and issuing of tickets was quick and easy. The electronic tickets arrived within a few hours of purchase.

The hardest part was reading (afterwards) all the negative reviews in the internet.

I hope the remainder of my experience with Budget Air is this good.

Competitive price

Competitive price, with seat selection option, online check-in, and full refund insurance for peace of mind.
Just had a little issue with the online payment (transaction failed), and you need to wait for 12-18 hour to get the e-ticket issued, which could have been improved to a shorter wait time.

Highly recommended.

Web site easy to use, providing detailed instructions. Fair pricing for tickets. For an unknown reason I could not select the seat for my wife. I resolved the issue by visiting the airline website.

Overall the process was okay

Overall the process was okay.

The price was much cheaper than other travel agents. Still confused on the name entry ( First and Middle name) added both but they appeared different on the ticket compared to other travel agents.

1st and last time using them...
Booked a ticket after going through there 2 or 3 pages trying to sell you extra's even there $52 charge for using Master Card and i was all set to go..
Waiting for a confirmation E-mail then i got a "your flight didn't exist we thought we would waste your time, wait 5-10 days to get your money and for sucking the joy and chance of going home (Booked for 3 weeks time) we will give you $15 if you are every stupid enough to book with us again."

Don't do it they are garbage

Never ever ever book with BudgetAir

Never ever ever book with BudgetAir. total rip off merchants. Owned by Travix who seem to be just as bad. they are set up in such a way that if you have any issues, you will never got to speak to anyone. We are currently out of pocket in excess of $3,000. they say they have processed the request but that was 4 weeks ago and no refund anywhere in sight and they will no longer respond to emails. Super dodgy. Steer well clear of these scumbags

Each step was easy to follow.
Payment system was efficient & had a good security check via my bank.
It was all very smooth & completed a double booking in 10 mins.

Better opt to book directly with Airlines. Poor customer service

Booking was flawless. Outbound flight had no issues. Inbound flight was hell..prevented to board a flight due to a 5 minute excess in transit time for the next flight. No notifications, no email whatsoever as a reminder. Forced to book another flight in order to be allowed to board. Almost missed my flight if not for my credit card. Refunds? Forget it.

It was smooth …..

I like it that it that the website is well organised and by making my account I can manage my booking easily. Just one thing that needs to be added is giving more info regarding the travel conditions that were lacking.

Other than that it’s all great. Well done 👌🏽

Non-existent customer support and scam:
There is no functioning help line in Budget Air - they don’t have phones, the chat function is a bot (all query options are pre-selected and there is no option to type), all emails are pre-written and say one thing only - cancel your tickets with no refund (we’ve received over 15 exactly the same emails).

Other customers have mentioned that Budget Air booking system incorrectly inputs names. That happened to us when we used Budget Air

If this happened to you pls pls write your review, because I’m building a case against Budget Air since currently we stand to loose $6,000 (a family is on a booking).

Budget air refuses to change one surname, which they input incorrectly. When I spoke to Air NZ they told me the correction is possible. Nevertheless despite sending daily emails to Budget Air we haven’t got anywhere in the past 3 weeks.

Terrible COMPANY!!!!!!!

Budget air cancelled our return flight from UK to NZ 3 weeks out. Unable to contact anyone about refund or rebooking. Advised by automated robot it takes 10-12 weeks to process a refund. Terrible company would not recommend. Flights are now triple the price!! No reason provided!!

Real tickets for my budget

I was trying to buy tickets for the Christmas Holiday season and couldn't find any tickets within my budget. Skyscanner redirected me to BudgetAir and I was totally in disbelief that I would be able to complete the purchase - as I tried before with other companies and had the impression that they announce these cheap flights but then you can never finish the transaction. BudgetAir completed my purchase, was supper organised and easy, and I was even able to select seats with extra leg room. I can't wait for my trip later this year, and I hope everything goes as planned.
