1 Killed, 1 Injured In Shooting At Homeless Camp In Solano County

Vallejo police were called to Sacramento Street, where a man and woman were found with gunshot wounds, officials said.

VALLEJO, CA — One man died and a woman was injured after a shooting Friday night at a homeless encampment on the 2400 block of Sacramento Street in Vallejo, according to authorities.

The Vallejo Police Department, responding to the call at approximately 9:56 p.m., found the two adults each suffering from at least one gunshot wound, officials said.

The victims were taken to local hospitals— where the male, 57, was pronounced deceased, and the 46-year-old female was treated, police said. Updates on the woman's condition were not available.

Vallejo detectives took over the investigation, and any motive or related circumstances are under investigation, police said.

The victims' identities were withheld pending kin notification by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
