Pacific Coast Highway Reopened After Pileup

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A pileup shut down all lanes of Pacific Coast Highway at Coastline Drive in Pacific Palisades Sunday evening.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the crash at 7:34 p.m., then opened one lane in each direction about five minutes later. The SigAlert lasted until 9:35 p.m. when all vehicles were cleared from the road, according to the CHP.

The crash occurred at about 7:05 p.m., according to the CHP. There were varying reports as to the number of cars involved. Malibu officials reported that six cars crashed, while the CHP put the number at four vehicles.
