Batteries Plus Bulbs Opens First Palm Desert Store

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation’s only battery, light bulb and phone repair franchise, 31 percent of Americans have broken their phone in the past year, but 65 percent don’t have insurance to cover the repairs.

With the opening of the specialty retailer’s first store in Palm Desert, locals will now have access to product experts and a wide array of specialized options for fixing phones, as well as automotive batteries, powering essential electronics, and lighting homes and businesses. The new location, like all Batteries Plus Bulbs stores, will offer an unrivaled product selection, in-stock availability, and customer service.

The store, located at 72705 Highway 111, is owned and operated by southern California native David Harshfield. He opened his first franchise in Temecula in 2015 after working in the corporate world for over 25 years. Batteries Plus Bulbs was the right fit to start a new career because it provided the tools, training and resources to help him get started, along with a network of comprehensive support systems to help him succeed.

“I run my own company and in the background I have IT support, product support, order support, and all of these other functions of a large corporation—but it's my business, in my community,” said Harshfield. “Locals who visit the store will be blown away by the breadth of product. I don’t want to say that we’re a new era of the electronics store, but in many ways we are, and it’s amazing how many products require a battery and how broad the specialized battery market really is.”

Batteries Plus Bulbs provides access to nearly 60,000 different types of batteries, light bulbs and related products for all household and business needs.
