Palm Desert Aquatic Center Introduces Summer "Dive In" Movies Series

PALM DESERT, Calif. – (April 12, 2018) – Palm Desert Aquatic Center (PDAC) has announced, “Dive-In Movies,” a fun, new event for families to beat the heat. Tickets are now on sale for the kick-off event on Friday, May 4 at 7:30 pm, featuring “Coco” (subtitled in Spanish), the latest Disney/Pixar animated movie, to celebrate PD First Weekend and Cinco de Mayo. Sponsored by Family YMCA of the Desert, the Dive-In Movies series will be held on the first Friday in May, June and July.

Dive-in Movies signals the official start to summer programs at PDAC, which include extended hours on weekends, swimming lessons, water slides and more fun programs. Dive-In Movies will continue on Friday, June 1 with the Sony Picture’s new “Jumanji” movie, and conclude on Friday, July 6 with Disney’s animated hit, “Moana”. Each movie starts at 7:30 pm with entry to PDAC beginning at 7 pm. There will be snacks available at the concessions stand, and access to select pool areas.

Tickets are $4 per person, with no charge for children under 2, and are now available for pre-purchase at the front desk window at PDAC or can also be purchased at the time of event, until sold out. Guests are encouraged to bring towels to lie out on the grass areas; no outside furniture, food or beverages are not allowed (except bottled water in plastic containers).
