San Diego Home To 5 Of Nation's 100 Most Expensive ZIP Codes: Study

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County is home to five of the nation's 100 priciest ZIP codes based on median home-sale prices this year, according to a new analysis from real estate data site PropertyShark.

The county's sky-high real estate prices contributed to SoCal's dominance nationally. The region is home to more than a third of the country's most expensive ZIP codes.

To come up with the list, PropertyShark calculated median sale prices based on closed home sales this year, up until Oct. 20. To be included, ZIP codes must have had at least three sales. The top 100 list included 122 ZIP codes due to ties, according to PropertyShark.

Rancho Santa Fe (92067) came in at No. 10 nationally, with a median sale price of $4.25 million.
