Farmington PD Mourns Loss Of Retired Dispatcher

FARMINGTON, CT — Local police are mourning the recent death of a retired dispatcher in Farmington.
The Farmington Police Department this week paid tribute to Dane Ingvertsen, who retired as a police dispatcher in 2017.

"In addition to serving as a communications dispatcher until his retirement in 2017, Dane was involved in the volunteer Crisis Support Team, maintenance of police fleet vehicles, and IT support," wrote the FPD.
Police said Ingvertsen was "a calm voice on the radio even under extreme circumstances and a friend to everyone at the police department."

In addition to being a full-time dispatcher for the Town of Farmington, he also worked part-time for the Canton police Department, which also paid tribute to him this past week.
