Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Inland Southern Connecticut
The National Weather Service has just issued the advisory which is in effect for Monday and Tuesday.

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for inland sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
The advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday. "Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of up to around two tenths of an inch."

"IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning and evening commutes," the National Weather Service says.

A chance of snow before 9pm, then a chance of snow and freezing rain between 9pm and 3am, then freezing rain and sleet after 3am. Steady temperature around 33. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tuesday
Freezing rain and sleet before 8am, then rain and sleet. High near 34. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night
A chance of rain and sleet before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 27. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
