MARIETTA, GA β€” A 42-year-old Marietta woman was stabbed to death Sunday in her Williams Drive apartment, and her husband is now facing charges in connection with her death, Marietta Police said Monday.

Samantha Woolery was attacked in her apartment overnight by someone familiar to her, police said. The stabbing was an isolated incident, and the suspect fled the scene shortly after the stabbing, police said.

Woolery's coworkers found her dead after driving to her home to check on her after she did not arrive for work, police said. Woolery had visible cuts and was unresponsive, police said. The coworkers immediately left the apartment and called 911, police said.
