Man Batters Nurse At Hospital: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The Chicago man was charged with aggravated battery following the incident last weekend at Northwest Community Hospital.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Victor Arroyo, Jr., 19, of the 900 block of N. Poplar Street, Waukegan, is accused of theft, and was arrested at 2 p.m. July 10, in the 3400 block of Carriage Way Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 13.

  • Brandon C. Grissette, 35, of the 400 block of Ann Street, South Elgin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:16 a.m. July 8, in the 1900 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 2.
  • Anthony J. Hernandez, 44, of the 0-10 block of Enclave Way, Hawthorn Woods, is accused of DUI alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested at 3:02 a.m. July 11, at N. Kennicott Avenue and W. University Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 9.
  • Ruddy Hernandez-Vargas, 56, of the 800 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of aggravated DUI, DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08, illegal transport of alcohol by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 6:22 p.m. July 10, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. He was released and assigned a court date of July 12.
  • Jose R. Mercado, 25, of the 400 block of Bernice, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 12:36 a.m. July 6, on N. Arlington Heights road. He was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 2.
  • Thomas E. Wenzel, 67, of the 900 block of S. Evergreen Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 6:59 p.m July 8, in the 900 block of S. Evergreen Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of July 26.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Justin P. Harding, 23, of the 2300 block of S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 2:53 a.m. July 8, in the 3200 block of N. Volz Drive. A court date of July 12 was assigned.

PAROLE VIOLATION

Louis P. Hoerauf, 46, is accused of violating parole, and was arrested at 12:26 a.m. July 11, in the 1000 block of W. Central.

BURGLARY

Stephanie C. Klus, 33, of the 3200 block of 7th Street, Park City, is accused of burglary, theft, and was arrested at 11:55 a.m. July 10, on S. Goebbert Road. A court date of Aug. 6 was assigned.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Joo Young Moon, 41, of the 4400 block of N. Harding Avenue, Chicago, is accused of possession of a controlled substance and was arrested at 11:38 p.m. July 10, at McDonald's, 45 E. Golf Road. He was released and assigned a court date of July 15.

BATTERY

Dale D. Teller, 44, of the 1200 block of S. Central Park Avenue, Chicago, is accused of aggravated battery of a nurse, and was arrested at 2:18 p.m. July 6, at Northwest Community Hospital, 901 W. Kirchoff Road. He was released and assigned a court date of July 15.

IDENTITY THEFT

Daniel L. Van Rooyen, 39, of the 500 block of W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of identity theft, and was arrested at 4:02 p.m. July 10 in the 1600 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 9.
