Dundee Road Construction Underway from Rand Road to Kennedy Drive

IDOT expects the job to be completed by October 2021, according to the Village​ of Palatine.

PALATINE, IL — The Village of Palatine announced Monday morning that traffic delays and daily lane closures are expected as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) begins works on altering Dundee Road from Rand Road to Kennedy Drive. According to the village, the current project includes:

  • Traffic signal modernization at Kennedy Drive, Rand Road and Baldwin Road
  • Construction of new raised medians
  • Curb removal and replacement
  • Sidewalk ramp removal and replacement to meet ADA requirements
  • Installation of new street lighting and storm sewers
  • Pavement patching and resurfacing

IDOT expects the job to be completed by October 2021, according to the village.

Two lanes in each direction will be open at all times, the village added, and that access to businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
