Man Hit By Tow Truck In O'Hare Parking Lot Dies

A 70-year-old man was struck by a city-owned tow truck Tuesday at O'Hare International Airport.

ROSEMONT, IL — A 70-year-old man died after being hit by a city-owned tow truck in a parking lot at O'Hare International Airport on Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. in parking lot D at Terminal 5.

The tow truck was driven by a 26-year-old man and authorities said the man, who lived in Hanover Park, was not in a designated walking area or crosswalk at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Syed Muhammed Imam, 70, died from multiple blunt force injuries from a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian at Lutheran General Hospital at 9:22 a.m., according to a Cook County Medical Examiner's Office report.
