PALATINE, IL — Construction on Rohlwing Road from Palatine Road to Cunningham Drive will begin Wednesday, and will run into August, the Village of Palatine announced Thursday. This project includes pavement resurfacing, base course patching, curb and gutter reconstruction, sidewalk replacement and ramp upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, the Village said. While Rohlwing Road will be accessible throughout the project's duration, there will be times when parts of the road will have lane reductions for through traffic during business hours, according to the Village.

The Village received over $750,000 in Rebuild Illinois grant funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), which will provide the majority of the funding required to rehabilitate the pavement, the Village said.

Construction work will be completed by Aug. 21. The Village of Palatine posted a map of the project limits to their Facebook page.
