WHEATON, IL — Friday night's inclement weather saw a tornado form near Wheaton and Warrenville, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Radar detected the tornadic activity via debris that had been lifted into the air around 9 p.m. NWS said more details will be available following a ground survey.

On Wednesday, nearly a dozen tornadoes were reported to have touched down in the Chicago area.
