Gold Medals For Two Bay State Chocolate Makers: MA Food Week

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

Not one but two Massachusetts chocolate makers took home gold medals at the 2023 International Chocolate Awards. Sudbury's Goodnow Farms Chocolate won for its Almendra Blanca bar, and Florence-based BOHO Chocolate for its Colombia/Sierra Nevada bar. BOHO sells its dark wares online, but you can buy Goodnow Farms bars at the Duck Soup store in Sudbury (also home of the Sky Bar).

Craft Beer for a Cause

An event coming up this week at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation will feature more than 15 local and national breweries, and some acclaimed local restaurants — James Beard winner Patricia Estorino's Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar. Proceeds benefit the Waltham museum.
