Easton Firefighters Deliver Baby Girl

A group of Easton firefighters delivered a baby after a mother went into labor on Victory Lane.

EASTON, MA — Easton firefighters Wednesday morning delivered a baby girl who was not going to wait for the hospital. The firefighters were dispatched to Victory Lane at about 8:45 a.m. after a mother went into labor.

"Just as they placed the expectant mother inside the ambulance, the mother entered the final stages of labor," Easton fire Chief Kevin Partridge said in a statement. The baby was delivered successfully and both mother and child were happy and healthy.

Those involved in the delivery were Easton fire Lieutenant Bill Fralick and firefighters Tom Baker, Tim Sweeney and Fred Chute.
