EASTON, MA — Visitors are allowed to return to Easton parks and athletic fields along with restrictions when it comes to contact sports, team sports and congregation limits.

All visitors should comply with orders requiring face coverings when social distancing is not possible.

Groups must be 10 people or less with athletic activities that bring participants into close physical contact prohibited even among groups of 10. Parks are open to waking, hiking, biking, running or other individual activity, such as yoga.

Visitors should remain at least 6 feet away from each other. On trails, walkers and hikers should leave room for others to pass, while cyclists and runners should move aside when passing someone.

Athletic fields are open to non-contact sports such as tennis or pickle ball, with no shared equipment. All play should be between users of the same household. When playing, users should avoid touching each other's equipment.

Users waiting to utilize a section or area of the field or court should wait outside the field and gates until previous users have left to ensure social distancing.

Users are urged not to engage in pick-up games, organized games or tournaments.

Playgrounds remain closed until phase two of the state's reopening - no earlier than June 8.
