EASTON — A GoFundMe created to support an Easton family whose 10-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor in October has doubled its goal of raising $50,000 in just over six weeks. Team Linley, launched by the friends and family of Eric and Cassie Menard, has raised $100,815 as of Dec. 23 to offset medical expenses and help Linley and her family be together for her treatments at Children's Hospital of Boston.

Linley was scheduled for two months of radiation treatments and is doing well, according to a post from Team Linley organizer Shannon Clark Prohaszka on the GoFundMe page last week.

"Bam!" she posted. "And just like that we enter our LAST week of radiation! A weekend of basketball, gingerbread houses, tree decorating and the love of family and friends got us ready to tackle the last six treatments! Thank you everyone for your continued love, positivity, and support. We continue to be absolutely blown away by so many acts of kindness. There are no words....... #LoveforLinley."

Team Linley is selling blue headbands to help support Linley and her family with members of the Easton Police Department getting together to honor her late last week.

Money raised will go to help Linley’s parents, Eric and Cassie, offset costs of staying in Boston while Linley is undergoing treatments so they do not have to travel back and forth to Easton at strict hours.

"Please know how incredibly moved Cassie, Eric, and their entire family have been by the immense outpouring of love and support these past few weeks," Prohaszka posted on the page.
"Spirits are high as Linley has fiercely taken on each day, crafting, smiling and beating everyone at card games! On behalf of The Menards, THANK YOU!"
