EASTON — Julie Brennan has dedicated part of her life to the support of young widows and children who have lost a parent in the Easton area through her "We Do Care" non-profit organization. Friendly's last week honored that dedication and support with ice cream.

Friendly's hosted Brennan at the Raynham location as part of their "Deliciously Celebrated" series where a person who helps people in the community, and their invited guests, enjoy a special party with a special menu, festive decorations and gift.

"She works tirelessly to help people when it is the absolute worst time for them," said Karen Boudreau, who nominated Brennan. "She has helped create support groups, support groups for the children, and family friendly functions."

Many of those Brennan invited to the party were We Do Care members and their children.

We Do Care will host the Healing Hearts Gala Feb. 28 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Canoe Club Ballroom in West Bridgewater. The event will raise money for the campaign aimed at "Taking Widows And Turning Them Into Warriors." Tickets for that event can be purchased here.

Friendly's said the "Deliciously Celebrated" campaign is part of a company-wide Acts of Friendly's-ness initiative, through which Friendly's hopes to give back to the communities it serves by celebrating some of its most "Friendly" patrons.
