Trash Old Medicine At Shrewsbury Takeback Event

SHREWSBURY, MA — Now's your chance to ditch unwanted, old prescription drugs.

Shrewsbury will host a drug take back event Saturday at the senior center. Shrewsbury police and the Central MA Regional Public Health Alliance will collect unwanted pharmaceuticals, including expired and extra drugs.

The event will run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the senior center located at 98 Maple Ave.

The event is free, and you can dispose of drugs with no questions asked — but residents cannot dispose of needles and other sharps during the event. Call the Shrewsbury Health Department for to dispose of sharps, 508-841-8384.
