Water Disruption In Shrewsbury Neighborhood Coming Tuesday

Crews will be in Shrewsbury near the Westborough line on Tuesday installing new water infrastructure.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Watch out for water service disruptions Tuesday in Shrewsbury as work proceeds on a new subdivision.

Starting 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, construction crews will be working along South Street near the Westborough line installing valves and pipes for a new subdivision being built near 575 South St.

During the work, water service will be shut off for residents from Appaloosa Drive to the Westborough line, and those living along Berkshire Road, Claremont Circle, Amherst Road, Arch Street, Whitehall Circle, Chartwell Circle and Boston Hill Circle. See a map of the full shut-off area here.

Outside that immediate area, some residents might experience low water pressure or discolored water. The town is advising residents who see discolored water after 4 p.m. on Tuesday to run cold water in a downstairs bathtub until the water runs clear.
