- The newest Burlington store is getting ready to open its doors in New Jersey’s largest city.
- Feeling hungry? A new authentic Mexican restaurant has opened its doors in Manahawkin.
- Asbury Park Brewery opened to the public in its brand-new home on Friday.
- Premo Cannabis, the brand-new marijuana dispensary in Keyport, opened earlier this month.
- A Bloomie's store (a new concept launched by Bloomingdale's) is scheduled to open this fall 2024 at the Grove, the high-end collection of shops/eateries on the Red Bank/Shrewsbury border.
- Vacationers will have a new luxury hotel to stay in this summer with the opening of Coastal Chateau, Ocean City's first "BiteSized" boutique hotel. It opened Memorial Day weekend.
- Bakeria 1010, what was once one of South Jersey's most popular pizzerias is returning this summer with a new home in Ocean City.
- Cherry Hill Mall signed leases for several new businesses expected to open within the next year: Alo Yoga, Kendra Scott, Dry Goods, Rowan and more are all slated to open storefronts at the mall.
- Raccoon Taproom in Collingswood will hold its grand opening June 1, bringing new life to the former site of Devil's Creek — Collingswood's first craft brewery, which shuttered in December.
- Classic Cake has opened a new store in Cherry Hill at the Short Hills Shopping Center (486 Evesham Rd.) The bakery was among several establishments consumed in a fire at the strip mall in March 2020 — weeks before COVID-19 restrictions took root in New Jersey, sending businesses into further upheaval.
Closings
- A hardware store in Montclair is closing after more than a century in business.
- Another Bloomfield deli, Benny’s Deli Café, has closed up shop at 220 Hoover Avenue.
- TGI Fridays has closed its Brick Township location, according to reports, five months after it shuttered seven other New Jersey locations without warning.
- Sam Ash, once one of the nation's biggest retailers of musical instruments, will close all locations, including the Cherry Hill store.
