Crash On NJ Bridge, Highway Debris, Delays: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Tuesday, June 28, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:28 a.m., there's a crash on I-80 express lanes westbound Exit 67 - River Road in Ridgefield Park. 1 left lane closed.

As of 7:01 a.m., there are delays and an earlier incident on NJ 21 northbound at Exit 9 - NJ 3 in Clifton. All lanes open.

As of 6:58 a.m., there re delays and an earlier incident on I-78 eastbound approaching Exit 43 - CR 655/Diamond Hill Road in Berkeley Heights. All lanes open.

As of 6:31 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge upper and lower levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. The travel time is 20 minutes on the I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 6:14 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper-level eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. 1 center lane blocked.

As of 6:14 a.m., there are pockets of volume on Pulaski Skyway northbound between Broadway and Jersey Avenue in Jersey City. Current travel time is 5-10 minutes.

Central Jersey

As of 7:56 a.m., there are delays and an earlier incident on US 1 southbound from south of CR 531/Main Street to Old Post Road-North in Edison.

As of 7:03 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the NJ Turnpike inner roadway southbound south of Interchange 8A - NJ 32 in Monroe Township.

As of 4:06 a.m., there's construction on NJ 72 eastbound from Shore Avenue to CR 607/Long Beach Boulevard in Ship Bottom. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2022.

South Jersey

As of 6:37 a.m., there's debris on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound north of Interchange 3 - NJ 168 in Lawnside. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 6:17 a.m., there are delays on NJ 55 northbound south of NJ 42 in Deptford. All lanes open; delays due to volume.

Transit Updates

Newark Light Rail: The 6:52 a.m. departure from Newark Penn Station to Branch Brook Park will not operate due to operator availability.

Newark Light Rail: The 6:28 a.m. departure from Grove Street to Newark Penn Station will not operate due to operator availability.

Morris and Essex train #6610, the 7:18 a.m. arrival into PSNY, is up to 15 minutes late due to earlier mechanical issues.

All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect sunny skies with a high near 80 degrees.
