GSP Crash, Water Main Break, Delays In NJ: Patch July 4 Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 1:32 p.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper level eastbound at New Jersey Side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. 3 left lanes blocked.

As of 12:26 p.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the Garden State Parkway southbound north of Exit 125 - Central Avenue in Clark. 1 left lane blocked.

As of 11:56 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper-level westbound New York side in New York. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 10:50 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jerey Turnpike inside entry Interchange 13 - I-278/Goethals Bridge in Elizabeth. Right shoulder blocked.

As of 9:40 a.m., there's construction on I-280 eastbound ramp from Exit 7 - Pleasant Valley Way/CR 636 in West Orange. All lanes closed and detoured until 3 p.m. on July 16.

Central Jersey

As of 1:30 p.m., there's a crash on US 1&9 northbound north of NJ 35 in Woodbridge Township. All lanes closed.

As of 9:38 a.m., there are pockets of volume on NJ 36 northbound between Florence Avenue in Long Branch and Center Street in Sea Bright. Current travel time is 5-10 minutes.

As of 9:20 a.m., there's a crash with injuries and a downed pole on NJ 34 in both directions on Perrine Road in Old Bridge Township. All lanes closed and detoured.

As of 6:29 a.m., there's a water main break on NJ 35 southbound CR 516/South Laurel Avenue in Holmdel. All lanes closed and detoured.

South Jersey

As of 11:10 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 36 - CR 651/US 322/US 40 in Egg Harbor Township. All lanes open.

As of 8:37 a.m., there's a crash, downed wires and downed pole on US 130 northbound north of Taylors Lane/New Albany Road in Delran. 2 right lanes closed.

Transit Updates

Main-Bergen County train #72, the 9:33 a.m. arrival into Hoboken, is up to 20 minutes late due to a signal issue near Tuxedo.

Princeton Shuttle (Dinky) service has resumed in both directions following earlier mechanical issues.

North Jersey Coast train #7216, the 9:42 a.m. arrival into Penn Station - New York, is up to 20 minutes late due to an earlier request for police assistance at Red Bank.

Pascack Valley train #2103, the 9:25 a.m. arrival into Spring Valley, is up to 20 minutes late due to congestion from train #2104.

All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.
