Tractor Trailer Fire, Commuting Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, July 15, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:41 a.m., there's a disabled truck on the George Washington Bridge upper-level westbound New Jersey Side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. 2 right lanes blocked.

As of 7:41 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound Larry Doby Service Area in Bloomfield. Right shoulder blocked.

As of 7:40 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 137 - NJ 28 in Cranford. 1 center lane blocked.

As of 6:14 a.m., there's a crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway southbound in the vicinity of Exit 3 - US 9W/Orbach Way in Alpine. All lanes closed.

As of 6:04 a.m., there's a tractor trailer fire on the New Jersey Turnpike - Eastern Spur southbound Northern Mixing Bowl in Ridgefield. 1 right lane closed.

As of 5:33 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 express lanes northbound north of Exit 69 - I-80 in Teaneck. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 5:04 a.m., there's an overturned tractor trailer on I-80 eastbound west of Exit 25 - US 206 in Mount Olive. 2 left lanes closed.

Central Jersey

As of 8:45 a.m., there's emergency construction on US 1 southbound north of Old Post Road-North in Edison. 1 right lane closed.

As of 4:03 a.m., there's construction on I-295 in both directions between Delaware River/Scudder Falls Bridge in Ewing Township and Exit 73 - Scotch Road in Hopewell. Both shoulders closed and one lane may be closed until further notice.

As of 4:02 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

South Jersey

As of 8:09 a.m., there's a crash and a vehicle off the roadway on the Garden State Parkway northbound north of Exit 30 - NJ 52/Laurel Drive in Egg Harbor Township. 1 right lane and shoulder blocked.

As of 7:19 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike entering at Interchange 4 - NJ 73 in Mount Laurel. Toll lane blocked.

As of 6:27 a.m., there's both a crash investigation and a downed pole on NJ 38 in both directions west of Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill. 1 right lane closed.

As of 4:46 a.m., there's a crash investigation on NJ 55 southbound at Exit 43 - Broad Street/Little Mill Road in Franklin. All lanes closed and detoured, 10-15 minute delay.

As of 4:11 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham Township and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on July 15.

Transit Updates

Northeast Corridor train #3930, the 8:11 a.m. from Trenton is cancelled due to equipment availability.

Northeast Corridor train #3813, the 6:42 a.m. Trenton arrival is up to 40 min. late due to equipment availability.

Northeast Corridor train #3126, the 7:35 a.m. departure from New Brunswick is cancelled due to equipment availability.

Northeast Corridor train #3706, the 6:25 a.m. departure from Jersey Ave, is canceled due to a mechanical issue.

Northeast Corridor train #3702, the 5:26 a.m. departure from Jersey Ave, is canceled due to equipment availability.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 84.
