Vehicle Flip, NJ Turnpike Crash, Delays: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, July 8, 2022:

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:26 a.m., there's a water main break on CR-12A northbound from Central Avenue to Kaufers Lane and CR-505 to Central Road in Fort Lee. All lanes closed until further notice.

As of 8:13 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound area of Exit 140 - US 22/NJ 82 in Union Township. All lanes open.

As of 7:46 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike - Eastern Spur northbound south of Interchange 16E - NJ 3/Lincoln Tunnel in Secaucus. All lanes open - vehicle moved to right shoulder.

As of midnight, there's construction on the George Washington Bridge upper-level westbound ramp to Palisades Interstate Parkway in Fort Lee. 1 right lane closed until 2:30 p.m.

Central Jersey

As of 7:04 a.m., there's a crash and fuel spill on I-78 eastbound west of Exit 11 - CR 614/Pattenburg Road in Bethlehem Township. 2 right lanes closed.

As of 5:51 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike inner roadway southbound south of Interchange 10 - NJ 440/I-287 in Edison. Left shoulder blocked.

South Jersey

As of 6:13 a.m., there's a downed pole, downed wires and an overturned vehicle on US 30 in both directions west of the Garden State Parkway in Galloway. All lanes open.

Transit Updates

The 5:21 a.m. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail departure from Hoboken to 8th Street will not operate due mechanical issues.

The 4:57 a.m. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail departure from Liberty State Park to Hoboken was cancelled at Harsimus Cove due to mechanical issues.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect patchy fog before 9 a.m. and partly sunny skies with a high near 86, according to the National Weather Service.
