Coastal Flood Advisory In Effect For Lacey

The advisory covers all of the coastal counties in New Jersey, according to the National Weather Service.

Ocean County residents are being warned of the potential for coastal flooding Wednesday, after the National Weather Service issued an advisory for all of the New Jersey coastline.

The coastal flood advisory is in effect until noon, with minor tidal flooding expected around the time of high tide -- which on the oceanfront was between 8:30 and 9 a.m. and later in the back bays. Heavy rain could add to the flooding, the forecasters said.

The flooding could result in road closures, and motorists are warned not to drive through flooded roads.
