Thunderstorms? Find Out When They Could Hit Lacey

A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for Ocean County, which could include showers, gusty winds and more.

If you’re planning to be out and about this afternoon, be prepared for the possibility that you could encounter thunderstorms.

That’s the warning from the National Weather Service, which has posted a hazardous weather outlook for Brick and the rest of Ocean County for this evening into Wednesday night.

Showers and thunderstorms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain, the service says, as well as the danger of lightning, from about 5 p.m. until about 9 p.m.

The weather overnight should be calm, with the possibility of stormy weather returning late Wednesday night, according to the weather service, and remaining through Thursday.

There’s a chance storms will return over the weekend, and the weather service says flash flooding and damaging winds are possible during the thunderstorms over the weekend.
