2 Men Steal $1.6K Worth Of Items From Melville Store: Police

The men stole clothing and sports equipment from Dick's Sporting Goods, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the two men who, police said, stole from a Melville store in August.

Two men stole assorted clothing and sports equipment from Dick's Sporting Goods, at 870 Walt Whitman Road, around 4 p.m. Saturday, police said. The merchandise was valued at approximately $1,630, police said. The men are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
