LINDENHURST, NY — A Bay Shore brewery is expanding to Lindenhurst.

Great South Bay Brewery, located at 25 Drexel Dr., announced in a press conference on Thursday that they are opening another store at Lindenhurst's former Chase Bank and Manhattan Bank building, located at 147 South Wellwood Ave.

Ryan Kim, the manager for the Bay Shore location, spoke with Patch about the Lindenhurst location.

"It has a really cool feel to it," said the manager, who has been with the brewery for two years.

What makes the brewery stand out from other businesses, Kim said, is its variety of experiences and products it produces.

The Bay Shore location has a whopping 40,000 square feet and contains three party rooms, outside areas, a volleyball court, darts, golf stimulators, and more.

It also hosts weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly events such as karaoke, food festivals, bingo, trivia, animal adoptions, fudge pairings and corn hole.

"We have pretty much every lawn game and board game possible," said Kim. "So if someone is bored here, I'm shocked."

Open since 2009, the brewery's drink selections are just as unique as its activities. It features a variety of 30 beers, 12 ciders, as well as ciders, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Last month, Great South Bay Brewery announced it would open a location at mixed-use development, Station Yards in Ronkonkoma.

What inspired the expansion to more hamlets, Kim said, is the success of the Bay Shore location's tasting rooms.

Although the new venues are on a much smaller-scale than the original location, patrons will still experience the brewery's fun and joyful atmosphere.

"Let's see how far we can go," said Kim.
