100 'Best Suburbs to Raise a Family in New York' List Released

New rankings from Niche.com list the 100 ”Best Suburbs to Raise a Family in New York.”

The top-ranked place on Long Island is Great Neck Estates, which also ranked fourth on the national list, Best Suburbs to Raise a Family in America.

Niche says it ranked suburbs based on age demographics, school ratings, crime rates, and access to affordable housing, child care, libraries, and grocery stores. A high ranking indicates that a suburb attracts young families with good schools and a safe community.
